This is one of those issues that there is so much noise that I'm not sure what's true and what's not. I've just glossed over at all of the claims/discussion.

 

So...tell me what we know to be true after so much time talking about it.

That's what many want, they want the public to be confused, an investigation into the event quickly went to an another orchestrated direction to "get Hillary" instead of what the commission was supposed to do and find out what happened and attempt to make sure it doesn't happen again. They are still going after HRC even though there CIA has had their say.

 

To be fair, under W Bush, 13 embassies were attacked.

 

Until Benghazi the security side of the DSS did not have a say in determining threats and making security decisions that could also override the decisions of the diplomat.

 

Aftet Benghazi the DSS never focused on high threat diplomatic posts overseas and added security measures, as well as personnel receiving advanced training, as one issue is that the job description was not correct.

 

Has their been another attack? No! Will their be other attacks? Yes, of course! But the DSS is what needs to be looked at in seeing what was done to make overseas posts a bit safer, not the political circus in DC. And the DSS finally made changes that has vastly improved the safety of the people at high threat diplomatic posts overseas.

The premise of your post isn't correct. There have been reports of 3 different agencies saying Clinton sent emails they labeled classified that she didn't have the power to declassify. Which is the hang up. The state department is saying they didn't know those agencies labeled them classified.

The truth will never come out officially. At least not from the government. And that includes the Repubs and Gowdy. No one wants the truth out.

 

What is all but certain is that advanced weapons - especially Stingers - were provided to Lybian 'rebels'. These weapons were used to take down Qaddafi. But also these weapons made their way to the Afghan theater and were used against US forces.

 

The CIA-staff in the 'Annex' was likely recovering the weapons. Their existence was a surprise to the mercenary rescuers who flew in from Tripoli.

 

The other likely 'truth' is that the operation was not under Clinton but Rice. Clinton was not in the Obama inner circle, Rice was. The 'Tea Lady' has been part of the US policy in Africa well before this administration. In fact, many Africans dislike the policies and tactics that she has used in Africa. It has been an interesting career for a daughter of the former chairman of the worlds most powerful financial function.

One truth we know is that the entire Obama team blamed the attack on a guy with a video that everyone knew immediately was a lie.

Benghazi is important, but the more this partisan Congress meets on it to shame HRC the more they seem to be undermining themselves. I saw this morning this is hearing number 21 and there were only 22 for 9/11.

If you're watching the hearing Adam Schiff just explained exactly what's going on. Gowdy is now losing his temper over it.

 

Jim Jordan probably made the most plausible case against Clinton so far, but it basically boiled down to what's been bickered about since the beginning, which is that the administration was wishy-washy with its statements in the week after the attack.
