1. I can't wait for the first cool, clear Friday night under the lights, when dew forms on the grass during the 2nd half.

2. I can't wait for the sights, sounds and smells of high school football, the lights, The National Anthem, burgers cooking, and pads crashing,

3. I can't wait for the first post game meal with my crew, including a couple drinks of fermented grain, and the stories and jokes that accompany such a meal.

I know EVERYONE is just looking forward to all the Trinity vs. X threads that'll be popping up. You know, like:

Our stadium is bigger than yours (T to X for now)

X Defense bigger, badder and stronger (X to T for now)

Tigers throw Pebbles to the Curb (X to T)

Rocks send Kittys to the Pound (T to X)

Who's Alumni Base can take the other? (Goes both ways)

“If you are honest, you will own up to the fact that you thought you would lose also in this playoff last year. ”

“Leading up to the game most of the T fans/alumni were honestly scared to death how bad the score would get! There are logical Rocks fans out there , they are just not the one's on this board “

You guys are forgetting one important thing in your previous posts…..these fans/alumni you say were the “doubters” weren’t on the field…..it was the players….and they weren’t doubting, scared or anything else…matter of fact when they should have gotten scared…after the initial X touchdown and FAILED point after they actually became stronger…..you can say what you want but when it counted most they got it done.

Truly sad. All this "the best team lost" stuff. Watch the film. Your team was getting whooped even before your QB went out LATE IN THE THIRD QUARTER. Is it logical to whine on after the fact is clear that the Rocks simply improved from September to December and the Tigers rested on their press clippings. As far as 06 goes, you keep thinking that and we will be having this same discussion next year. Face it, you got out-coached, out-played, out hustled, out-smarted, etc.

One question, If X does win will they design new rings or just go with the one they designed prior to game last year?

My reference was to the season and the programs as a whole. NOT just the one game. They are both great programs, ask anyone in out in the state:D. If actually read my post you would see I was not whining or making excuses about your one shining moment! Yes, the Rocks did improve from Sept. to Dec. (how could they not!) and yes, the Tigers probably did get the big head from their press clippings(you've got to handle success). I have said on this board before and will say now, T out played X THAT night, they were hungry, congratulations! Even the ugly kid can be the prom king for a night... doesn't mean he's king the rest of the year. You will always thinks the rocks are best, I will always believe the Tigers are the best. Pretty simple.

One answer, WHEN X wins they will will design a new one. New group of kids - new ring design.

Back to the thread: I look forward to...

1. Good high school football

2. Hope that KHSAA doesn't screw up a good thing with shortsighted agendas

3. Another 4A championship trophy residing in Louisville

I can agree with that list. :thumb:

Trinity winning their 17th State Championship in December!

Since we are splitting hairs today, that would be November this season!

1. Thanksgiving Day practice for the Rocks.

2. Seeing Trinity's Whiting and Brady step up with Taugher's retirement and Weitlauf out until Oct.

3. Seeing Butler stir up their district.

1. Beating Beechwood

2. Beating Beechwood

3. REPEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 :fire:

Prior to the actual game, you had even ordered the rings for us based upon your two year embarassment. The state game odds were one in ten and you won...I congratulate you, as I did after the game. You were the best team that night and deserved the victory. Nonetheless, statistics don't lie, after two straight years of being swept at all three levels (as in being given the broom), be prepared to be recipients of the same broom this year, and be prepared to crawl back into the same cavern from which you enimated, the landfilled caverns of St . Matthews)...the Ox scourge of the pebbles has reemerged! :fire:

I will take getting swept EVERY YEAR, to bring home the hardware in December.

1. How will CovCath play in year 2 of the Rodenberg offensive system

2. Looks like Lloyd and Scott will be sporting new uni's next season, interested to see what they look like.

3. Overtime Pay

1. Watching y'all tear each other apart in your post!

2. T/X game!

3. State Championship! :ylsuper:

We have to remind everyone of this a couple times of year. We are not going to allow "every" thread to turn into a X vs. T thread.
