3. Tigers order rings in December

Just a suggestion, wait until after the game this year.

Prior to the actual game, you had even ordered the rings for us based upon your two year embarassment. The state game odds were one in ten and you won...I congratulate you, as I did after the game. You were the best team that night and deserved the victory. Nonetheless, statistics don't lie, after two straight years of being swept at all three levels (as in being given the broom), be prepared to be recipients of the same broom this year, and be prepared to crawl back into the same cavern from which you enimated, the landfilled caverns of St . Matthews)...the Ox scourge of the pebbles has reemerged! :fire:

My top four for 2006 (since I do respect your talented team):

1. St. X. clobbers the gravel in freshman game.

2. St X. JV's clobbers the mini-pebbles (including their junior and senior surrogates) in the JV game.

3. St. X. Varsity embarrasses the landfill varsity for the third year in a row in front of the 35,000 alumni in the September showdown.

4. Tigers emerge from a third round war with the wee-weed varsity with a narrow 10-point win in the third round of the playoffs.

Look forward to seeing you again in 2006 landfill gang!! Broom time once again! :fire:

Every other year...our turn:cool:

And for LSU: probably right... but they will be the ones ordering this year (see item #2 above):ylsuper:

Well, I could go on about how there are lies, lies and statistics but I won't bore you. I'll just respond the way we do in most years...

YOU AINT GOT A THING IF YOU AINT GOT THAT RING!!!

I'm glad you and your fellow Tigers including the team and coaching staff gave us a one in ten chance. The fact is the Rocks whipped the Tigers when it mattered. No need for your congrats, we all did enough of that among people that mattered. So OX, keep the diatribe running and us poor old "weed" fans will keep buying those rings. FYI, In St. Matthews we will gladly endure a little embarrassment in September for a title in December.

Wasn't the Ox who petitioned the KHSAA to move the possibility of the Trinity-X rematch to the 3rd round so his mighty touted tiggers wouldn't have to shoulder the embarassment of losing to Trinity for the 3 rd time in 4 years in the state championship finals?

Or is it just a rumor? ANYHOW.............

December is when the mangy Ox hides in the dust behind the pendulum, eagerly awaiting for it to swing !

The best of all is you get to be embarassed (my, that IS a strong word which the pebbles are not qualified to use) not only in the regular season, but also in the playoffs as well in 2006. Nevertheless, I will be glad to have a few celebratory drinks with you all the way to the bank, as we split our monstrous third round round playoff check. :thumb:

Just for you, BareRock...Tick..Tock..TicK...Tock...the time right now is TIGER O' CLOCK! :D

1. How coach Bart Bruner does in his first year with the mess called Nelson County.

I am interested too. Bruner may or may not win right away but he will most definitely lay a solid foundation to build upon. But make no mistake about it, he wants to win now.

I agree about the split, heck there should be some free drinks somewhere to celebrate two paydays.

However I must protest about your claim that the Rocks aren't qualified to use the word "embarassed" (maybe embarrassed would be better). I would qualify being favored 10-1 (your odds) and only managing 6 points against a bunch of undersized, both-way playing, got blown out the first time sweep victims the biggest embarrassment of the season. If history tells us anything it is that OX isn't "qualified" to predict wins and losses.

You have got yourself an excellent coach, who I fully expect to emulate the turnaround that Coach Smith performed at Boyle County, IF (and that is a BIG IF) he gets the support of the administration and community of Nelson County. This man is a winner! :thumb:

If you are honest, you will own up to the fact that you thought you would lose also in this playoff last year. :D

As far as being embarassed, the regular season scores from the last two seasons tell the tale. If you had lost that state game, you would have been an afterthought. For the sake of our rivalry, it's probably good that you won. :D

Leading up to the game most of the T fans/alumni were honestly scared to death how bad the score would get! There are logical Rocks fans out there , they are just not the one's on this board;)

Yes they won the game that night but OX has got it right. X was the better team then and certainly will be the better team in 2006. GO Tigers:ylsuper:

Truly sad. All this "the best team lost" stuff. Watch the film. Your team was getting whooped even before your QB went out LATE IN THE THIRD QUARTER. Is it logical to whine on after the fact is clear that the Rocks simply improved from September to December and the Tigers rested on their press clippings. As far as 06 goes, you keep thinking that and we will be having this same discussion next year. Face it, you got out-coached, out-played, out hustled, out-smarted, etc.

One question, If X does win will they design new rings or just go with the one they designed prior to game last year?

Sake of the rivalry? Now you are dreaming. There have been some very dark days in the Trinity football rivalry with St. X, yet somehow they have managed to carry on and even eclipse St.X in football success. No, win or lose I think the rivalry will continue.

Got 16? :thumb:
