Boyle is on a different level this year then Catholic. Boyle by 21+

I personally believe Boyle is a 2 TD better team this year. With that being said a rivalry has a way of making a 1-2 TD favorite kinda equal. I hope and expect Boyle to pull away in the second half and win maybe 35-21. I would be shocked by a running clock.

Should be a great game. I think Boyle wins 28-14.

® LexCath 24-21. Kyle Bolin HS career ends with a torn ACL before halftime. Sophomore QB Reese Ryan connects with freshman TE Sam Letton to rally Knights before halftime. Amoh Kumengisa scores 3 TDs.

® Boyle Co 22-13. With UK coaching staff in attendance, Knights have lowest scoring output since 2011 Boyle County playoff game. Boyle Co loses to Mercer in playoffs. Knights win Region.

The offense of the Knights is wild-card here. With a solid game plan, great execution and big plays they could score a lot. Or they could come out flat like at Cooper.

 

If the Knights to get big plays through the air then that means the Rebel offense will get the field back quickly - and with Josiah Robbins pass attack the Rebels will have a different look this year. So this could be high score affair. The Knights defense has struggled agains the run and Chuck Smith knows that. It will interesting to see if the Rebel leverage their ground attack more in this game.

 

This is rally time for the up and down Knights. Senior linemen - Colin Carpenter, Noah Tubridy, Senior receivers JJ Obugo, Donnie Morris, Andy Thompson. Senior RB Jaylen Jones. Not giving a score, but I don't see Lex Cath scoring anymore than 14 to 17 points on Boyle's defense 49 is more than half the total they have allowed in 7 games this year. Boyle's secondary has improved drastically since last year and the work they have put in is all because of Lex cath's pass offense, IMO Boyle's defense will be the best The Knights have faced all season.

I can see LexCath winning the game but no way they score 49 points in doing so. I also don't think Boyle County would lose if they scored 42 points.

When these seniors from both schools were freshmen the Boyle County freshmen won 37-16. What has changed for both teams since October 2012?

Even though I'm a homer, but I am also a realist. Boyle Co is just in a different level this season. With all that said, the only thing that Lex Cath has going for them is that it's a rivalry game and Lex Cath can get a little motivated with the mindset of taking 6 of last 7. Oh BTW all you homer making statement about running clock or plus 21pts, Really? When was the last time or many times in this rivalry game that the points difference of the winning team was anymore than 10 pts? Not recently....

If the Knights can not hit the big plays it will be rough. The Knights have to weapons with their receivers to go downfield in a hurry. But if they score or get big yards on big plays it gives the ball back to Josiah Robbins, who will be very difficult to contain (notice I did not say stop). Even under the 'best' scenario the Knight defense is on th field a lot against a Boyle team that is more pass-oriented than in the past. This will not be a 10 - 7 or 13 - 10 game for sure.

One major thing that has changed is that BC QB started for the varsity as a freshman and a different player was the freshman QB in that game.

Majority of those freshman for LC were not playing freshman ball. They were being used as 2nd team or special teams. The freshman that played in the season you mentioned, well lets just say they are " little freshman ". you know what I mean? LOL
