Big time game at Boyle County next week. I think one of these teams is in for a rude awakening next week. Which team will it be? Who you got?

 

I'll take the Rebels in this one.

The game everyone has been waiting all year for. Next week will tell us a lot about what kind of fight the Rebels have in them. I wouldn't suggest a score, just based on the fact that anything can and probably will happen in these games. It will be close as always.

Boyle, I think next week the Rebels will make a big statement against the Knights, and set the tone for the playoffs.

We would love to go broadcast this game for everyone as our game of the week. This game should be amazing!

Can't believe I am going to miss this game! The Bourbon Chase is going on next Friday and we have a team in the 200+ mile race through all the bourbon distilleries. I'm runner 12 that will be running by the stadium Friday night. At least the fireworks should let me know how things are going.

boyle by 21+. Lexington Catholic just doesn't have it this year. They don't have the defense to keep this one close and the offense isn't where it should be.

Biggest game of the season thus far for Boyle.

For 8 years, since 2007, there has only been one season where these teams did not meet in in the post season. And that one years was the only time the winner of the regular season game was not the winner of the Region and moved onto the state semi-finals. But the Region was still won by other rivial. So in the last 8 years one of these two teams have won the region each year.

 

Last 8 years.

 

2007 LexCath wins both games and wins State.

2008 Boyle County wins both and loses in Semi-final.

2009 and 2010 - Boyle County wins both and wins state.

2011 and 2012 - LexCath wins both games. In 2011 LexiCath wins 10 - 7 with a 4th and 1 stop at the end of the game.

2013 - Boyle Counties wins regular season 22-13. But Boyle County loses to Mercer before the rematch and LexCath beats Mercer in Region final.

2014 - LexCath wins both close games, handing Boyle County their only 2 loses on the year.

 

Record over last eight years: BC - 7, LexCath - 8.

Two power house programs through at least the last decade of meetings seem to be destined to do this forever. The only shame during the 4A years was the game felt like it should be a state semifinal game at the very least and not just a regional final. Always brings a great crowd and a hostile environment whether at Boyle or Catholic. No matter the outcome friday night it wont be the last time these two tangle this year, and i would expect to see these two meet again in the playoffs as history shows.
