October 21, 201510 yr Im sure Pitino may have heard and just didnt want to know and played as if he didnt know. A guy with so much control would have to have a clue to this. I always thought of him as a control freak. Which is another reason I still harbor a healthy dose of skepticism that what Powell says is 100% true. While I DO thing something transpired, and it isn't good for Louisville, the conditions of her interviews, the fact that not once in 4 years a tweet, a Facebook post, an Instagram post was seen....there are just so many things that don't add up because there are no disclosures that have enough substance to pass muster without significant questions remaining.

What the hell did they say, and we need to see the texts in the full context. Texts are like text or sound bytes, you can cherry pick what you want to present a view that is skewed. The money transfer, apparently people were being paid in cash. Where's the trail? And McGee could have been involved with Ms. Powell and paid her money for other reasons, like she said she was about to be evicted and he helped her...I don't know...but everything seems selectively and strategically presented. Nothing has been presented in its entirety so I can't get a picture of how it all went down. Again, I don't doubt SOMETHING happened. I just am trying to figure out what, who, how long...etc.

It doesn't prove every single one of her claims. This would be an entirely different scenario if the publishers, author, Powell herself and her daughters haven't contradicted themselves along the way. I'm of the opinion that there has been a hefty dose of embellishment but of course that doesn't mean everything is a lie. Heck she may even have a trump card she's waiting to play. Point being, yesterday's news made the picture a little clearer, but we've only scratched the surface.

It's looking like he did have the scratch to cover it. He made $100k while he was working as the director of basketball ops. Given the rather paltry amounts this Ms. Powell appears to have sold these women for, he easily could have done it. The young guy on the staff trying to be cool got wrapped up with a woman who's going to destroy his whole life. He ain't the first.

So, the amount being bandied around is $10,000 over 4 years. That's an average of $2,500 per year. Most certainly doable on McGee's part alone, even if he's making a salary on the lower end of the spectrum for that position. I haven't seen anything about current players confirming anything. I have seen where some of our former players, and recruits who went elsewhere confirming. But I also saw Chane Behanan denying it, as well as several of our former players denying it. As I said, I am 100% certain something happened. I'm just of the opinion right now that what really happened, and what Ms. Powell is alleging are some distance apart. I just don't know how far, and everything she has presented and selectively discussed seems contrived to smear a lot of crap and see what sticks.

Powell kept a journal, she has been planning this for a long time so I would be surprised if she contradicts herself. I guess you are gonna believe what you wanna believe.

I always thought of him as a control freak. The trouble is compounded when you think through ...4 years...22(?) sex parties...multiple players involved....multiple recruits..."loose lips". Are we to believe these younger coaches were deaf and dumb? How could multiple assistants be oblivious? How could they not know? Even Richard Pitino was on staff during McGee's run, and doesn't it become probable if Richard knew than Rick should have been at least exposed to suspect something? Lots of young coaches careers are now associated with a toxicity they probably wish wasn't on their resume.
