September 16, 201510 yr I've been to Morgantown and really enjoyed my trips there. Ohio St. is good but really spread out. Like others have stated I've really enjoyed my trips to college campuses as you can always find good people.
September 16, 201510 yr Ole Miss and Bama are my 2 favorite SEC venues. Purdue is a great place to tailgate. I think my favorite might be William and Mary. Love the way the entire school (students, faculty, alums) make the whole campus into an all day event.
September 16, 201510 yr I agree about Notre Dame. We went up for the game last year and it was a great time. Everyone was pretty nice and inviting. Plus we walked around campus and saw the sights for a couple hours before the game, and that was very cool as well. I would definitely go back to ND if I had the opportunity. I have never seen a game at Notre Dame but it is on my bucket list. I have been there several times and walked around campus during Summer ball with the boy when tournaments would be in the area. I love that campus and just walking around the stadium you could feel the history.
September 16, 201510 yr As others have said you do not go to WVU in support of the opposing team period, because its flat out dangerous. You always expect to get a little good fun harassment at any place if you are in support of the visiting team, but when you are in Morgantown its not good fun its truly dangerous. For someone who thinks Big 10 football is boring, slow, and down right crappy I enjoyed the atmosphere of Michigan when I got to see a game at the Big House.
September 16, 201510 yr 1) Tennessee/was on a boat to the stadium. Tough to beat 2) Penn State 3) Nebraska- nicest fans anywhere 4) Ohio State 5) Sugar Bowl 2015. Ok, might not count but whew that was fun. Worst 1) Michigan -Just not much to do 2) Louisville I'm a grass guy. Don't enjoy a giant parking lot 3) Illinois 4) Minnesota--was at the dome, hear it's better now on campus 5) WVU--Cool place, vile fan base
September 16, 201510 yr I have been to quite a few places and would have to say the best college atmosphere and tailgating is at Lambeau field. :lol2:
September 19, 201510 yr The best tailgates I've had have been at RayJay. Home tailgates are always better. I also consider going to a UK game a home game. We always have a great time at CWS. The road games .... 1) FSU (09 was amazing. Even with the rain last weekend, we had a great game day experience). 2) Miami 3) Wisconsin My Notre Dame game day experience was marred by a 6 and a half hour football game, even though we won. We also did not get there early enough to partake in all of the pregame activities, that the band and team goes on prior to entering the statium. Nice people though. We're going back, regardless of opponent, but I'd love to go to an SC game. My West Virginia experience was interesting. We'd go back.
September 19, 201510 yr I've been to quite a few places for college football and my top 2 are Notre Dame and FSU.
