September 14, 201511 yr Agree with one more minor complaint, I would like to see more consistent pressure on the passer. How about more disciplined play, i.e., Pac and Iloka ?
September 14, 201511 yr How about more disciplined play, i.e., Pac and Iloka ? No question, that was a joke. Marvin will figure that out but you are 100% correct. Hated it.
September 14, 201511 yr Guess I'm a hardened long suffering Bengal. I saw nothing to tell me this is the team to break the mold. Kudos, they played one of the worst-if not the worst-team in the NFL. Dalton made a couple throws to Eifert that were perfect, but against teams with NFL safeties-Woodson was 50 years ago-history tells me he doesn't make those. Eifert looks like a star, hope he stays healthy. Still horrific clock management. Guenther still doesn't understand how to scheme pressure on QB. Offense still loves the 3 yard pass on 3rd and 8. Still too much Dalton and not enough Hill, feed the kid until it works. Play an actual NFL team with NFL WRs and a decent D this Sunday. Much better barometer. Same old Bengals as far as this goes. Never going to change either.
September 14, 201511 yr No question, that was a joke. Marvin will figure that out but you are 100% correct. Hated it. The Raiders were just our whipping boys yesterday but somewhere down the line the clock management issues and lack of discipline will cost us dearly if not corrected. May cost us two or three games.
September 14, 201511 yr Using those timeouts are killing me. That is on Marvin. It has happened for many years!!!!
September 14, 201511 yr Pro Football Focus tweeted that Jones will be fine but not suspended. FWIW Bengals catch a break, if that is the case. Will need all hands on deck at DB with a better QB like Rivers this week.
September 14, 201511 yr Same old Bengals as far as this goes. Never going to change either. At least half and maybe 3/4 of the coaches are just as dumb as Marvin with game/clock management. It's unreal to me that in 2015 these teams don't have a guy responsible for that and that only. It really isn't even that hard. That Giants fiasco should get someone or everyone fired.

No. No one has been as consistently bad in clock and game management as Marvin has been over the last 13 years. It's a constant.
September 15, 201511 yr No. No one has been as consistently bad in clock and game management as Marvin has been over the last 13 years. It's a constant. Yes they have. Almost all of them are bad. It's just not many people get to stick around the same spot this long so that a fan base has to deal with it for more than a decade from the same guy.
September 16, 201511 yr Adam Jones has been fined $35k. He is appealing. In 2015, Jones will earn a base salary of $1,550,000, a roster bonus of $250,000, a workout bonus of $100,000 and a incentive bonus of $400,000. He should be OK.
September 20, 201510 yr True. I would like to see more WR's used so teams Can't key on Eifert. This was a tough game to gauge where the Bengals are. Raiders are so bad it is hard to determine how good the boys are. I think people will see the Raiders are not as bad as the Bengals made them seem to be today. Of course. Super Bowl Bound Wow, already in sandbag mode, eh? I could understand if you guys just won by a FG. The only way the Raiders aren't as bad as a lot of us thinks they are is if the 70's Raiders suit up and run out of the tunnel next week. They are bad. Hmmm I guess the 70s Raiders did run out of the tunnel this week because they just beat the Ravens who a lot of people had making the playoffs. I said it last week and I will stick with JT. The Raiders are better than people think as long as Carr is healthy.

You needed to make a "Bengals are actually really good" post and call out that many people? Granted, one of them was yourself in addition to me, but WTH?
