Have u actually looked at trinity schedule. ??? For sure is not the toughest schedule. I mean no disrespect. But they play several teams later in the year that they should win by 50. Definitely not toughest in 6a. As far as schedule strength

 

Trinity's first two wins are better than any other Kentucky school's best win, according to the computers for MaxPreps and CalPreps.

CalPreps: Trinity's schedule strength is state-best 46.3. Covington Catholic second at 41.8. Third is Fairdale (34.8).

 

MaxPreps (entering Week 3, does not include Week 3 results): Covington Catholic's schedule strength is state-best 46.6. Trinity is No. 2 at 46.3. Rounding out top five are Henry Clay (third, 39.9), Tates Creek (fourth, 39.3) and Warren Central (fifth, 36.9).

AAAA - South Warren

AAAAA - Pulaski County

AAAAAA - Trinity

 

5A is down this year and there are a couple other teams that could possibly win it as well. Other than that, I believe most other classes are pretty cut and dry. However, Johnson Central vs. South Warren in 4A could get interesting....

The only one I feel fairly confident in is 1A.

 

For the sake of entertainment, here is my "Confidence Percentage" per class

It is a long season and injuries can really deplete a team. I think all teams need a little luck. Should be fun! Snakes not, do you have a son on Mayfield?

Trinity's schedule is definitely front-loaded, no argument. But the games that you are referring to are district games, so it's not like anybody could help it.

 

I do wish they were playing a Cincy team this year. I love it when they come up here, because I can't spare the travel time for Louisville most weekends.

I enjoyed the way you gave us the insight into how you came up with your rankings. Would concur that Beechwood is the most clear cut, but Trinity seems fairly dominant at this point...is the current rivalry with Male what keeps you from giving the nod to Trinity? Or is Male that good...

Male is very good and return a ton off a team who split with Trinity last year and who I honestly thought was the best team in 6A.

 

They haven't played the high profile games that Trinity has, but they have annihilated everything in their path. To me that matchup has a chance to be Instant Classic as I feel both are significantly better than they were a year ago at this time.

in 2A, if the Mayfield team is not better than last years team in the finals, they will not win the state title.

He was talking about how a team had to play as good as last years team to have a chance...I simply said that Mayfield would have to play better than they did in the finals last year if they expected to win this year. Even the most ardent Mayfield fan would have to admit that Mayfield played poorly and were lucky to win last year. If they play a game like that against CAL or DeSales this year (both of which are much better than last years Williamsburg) they will lose. That is all I was saying, no more no less.
