Yes I'm sure the liberal left wishes she would have just done that. All the gay couples coming from other states to get on television and make a circus as you say are what caused this to be a circus to start with. Christians have been silent for decades and all it has resulted in is less and less of a moral and law abiding country. Not saying she is handling this in the right way but what is done is done and I'm sure the left is not happy with all the publicity. Christians should keep quiet and get out of the way.

I'm really curious in what way We Christians have been silent for decades?

I hope she won't emerge as a hero for us anti-gay marriage folks. I would call her "courageous" or "brave" if she took a stand and quit her job. One who fails to follow directions of their boss is not a hero in my eyes.

I guess that depends on who you boss is and what they are asking you to do

Then quit if it goes against your beliefs.

And how many decades.

Then quit if it goes against your beliefs.

See here's the thing, she's not obligated to so it really doesn't matter. This issue isn't as simple as "if you don't like it, quit" or "do your job", it's much more complex than that, but that gets to be a difficult discussion at times.

I see her having as much "right" to take a stand as anyone else who has "taken a stand". Why should she be required to subjugate her belief system to accommodate someone else's ? Where is the fairness in that ?

That's my biggest issue with this drama, that at least one group feels they should be able to dictate another group's belief and practices.

Irrespective of what my personal opinions are on this one, I don't see it as an equitable issue.

Then quit if it goes against your beliefs.

Where would we be if everyone quit because it would be against their beliefs? It seems as if the left wants everyone to quit who disagrees with them. Are your arguments so weak that you want your opposition to quit, before the weakness of your argument becomes evident?

Shouldn't Beshear be issuing an executive order to modify the marriage license forms to pull the County Clerk's name off of it? Wouldn't this solve everything? This has gotten so dumb.

I don't know man. Sounds like a new law. Courts can't make these, so I don't think an executive can either. (sarcastic font)

Well if any law that they pass contradicts the SCOTUS ruling then it will quickly be nullified. The highest law of the land is the US Constitution, any law that ruled to contradict the supreme law of the land is inherently invalid. I am not sure what you are expecting to happen but any attempts to chip away at this SCOTUS ruling will just continue making this state look as backwards as everyone already thinks it is.

Please elaborate on your cryptic comment.

I think they are going to take this out of the clerks hands altogether. And everyone is going to say they should not have done it.

Why would anyone be upset if the marriage process is streamlined? Maybe if it went online and performs like the initial Obamacare website?

Why do you think people would be upset if compromise and resolution is found?
