NFL Is Not Going To Like Will Smith's New Movie "Concussion"

Featured Replies

No joke. I look forward to seeing it.

Looks good. I'll check it out.

And man does Heinz Field look good.

I think it will be amazing but it will probably trim down youth football another few percentage points.

On the fence about this one. I feel like in our over-reactionary society that we live in today that this movie could be detrimental to football in the long run.

I do love Will Smith and I think this will be a great movie.

Or beneficial to our youth.

Or beneficial to our youth.

It could be beneficial to the youth. At the same time I don't know of any youth who received improper treatments for concussions. I know plenty who have been diagnosed and either sat for a long time or walked away from the game. The force the game is played at in the college and professional level is what I am talking about.

I can see football helmets evolving to an integrated helmet and pads into one unit where the head is not in contact with the helmet in anyway...kinda like this but designed for football.

The head has to be taken out of the equation at some point, a helmet attached to the shoulder pads where the head is free floating inside would dramatically reduce head trauma.

With a few million dollars I think I could design an almost 100% concussion proof helmet and pads.

Has anyone seen the previews? It is a new Will Smith movie.

No, never heard of it.

No, never heard of it.

Your post in Clyde's thread about the movie from two days ago would seem to prove otherwise :D
