Don't know for sure they had a few very nice shooters

I was told by a parent last night only 2 losses.. I'm not sure how 7th will look?

Maybe?

1. Bracken

1. Beechwood

3. Jones

4. Tichenor

5. Newport

6. Dayton

Beechwood has lost 1 league game at the 7th grade level.

Was told (hearsay) that Woodland 7th grade knocked off Highlands tonight. Any truth to this??

DOWN GOES FRAZIER!!! Yes, Woodland beat them. Puts HMS 7th's record at around 54-1 since middle school started.

It's always a battle against them. If you want to stay undefeated you can't have off games against really good teams. HMS shot HORRIBLY last night and didn't have their head coach at the game either. No excuses, Woodland absolutely went out and took that game and deserved the win. I still believe HMS will still go on to win the region. They have just too much depth.

Congrats to Woodland on the big win.

What about the 6th grade game, who won?

HMS 6th won by 2

HMS 8th won by 20+

HMS 8th won by 20+

Actually, HMS 6th won by 1. It was 31-30. HMS totally won the game in the 4th quarter when our boys shut down and they hit a couple crucial 3's. Woodland 6th beat HMS 6th on Jan.21 by 10 points when we had our point guard. Unfortunately, he's out right now with a concussion. Very hopeful he'll be back next week for the tournament! :-)

St Pius recognized Gary Tuemler for his 30 years of coaching in the Pius program. Rock star. All-around good cat and loves to teach the game of basketball. Has had some really talented kids come out of the program.

Many of those games he had his lovely bride keeping book. Gary and Mary have seen a lot of Ws over 30 years.

He's also been blessed to have his son Kevin along side of him for I'm guessing 15+ years. Then add in his brother Barry for the last couple as well as an assistant coach and I think his nephew Jason for a few.

Tuemlers everywhere at Pius.

Kudos to Gary.

Outstanding coaching career. He and his bride are loyal fans at his grandkids' soccer and basketball games. The fine character of his kids and grandkids speaks volumes.

Tuemlers everywhere at IHM, too. :thumb:
