Looking forward to a great 8th grade matchup Tuesday night when HMS plays SVA. They have played numerous times already this season, most of which have been very competitive. Should be a great game!

Yep, Here we go again... Seems like we always have to play at least 5 times a year. Will you have your full team back now? I know you had someone out with a broken bone over the holidays.

Buzzer beater was a prayer!! 2 handed push shot from the sideline just over half court and banked it in. It was exciting and a good win for Twenhofel, but a lucky break that it went in.

Twenhofel? What grade? Who were they playing? Final score?

Where is this one at?

Does BSac play StSussana this week?

BSac plays Our Lady or Lourdes this week in their first game of the bracket portion of the OLV tourney. St. Susanna is in the lower portion of the bracket; BSac is in upper.

No, Dearborn still out, but hope to have him back soon!

Regular season?? I was told that he may be back in time for the tournament. Confirmed out completely?

Highlands 7th grade is one of the best teams I've seen at any middle school level in quite a while. To be undefeated might seem a surprise, unless you've seen them play. They are disciplined in their assignments, they play hard, and they have players that can really shoot it. They press half court, and full court, and at the MS level, if you can press and break the press, you can be successful. They can do those things, amongst many others.

My understanding is they've been together quite a while, even before 6th grade... Is there any truth to this? Do these kids play summer ball together?

Kudos to them!

Highlands @ SVA...

6th- Highlands

7th- Highlands

8th- Highlands

Well that explains something that happen tonight at Summit View, look who they played.

I am curious too. What are you referring to, what happened at Summit View last night?

Most of the starters have played for Trevor Barth on the Gametime AAU Team probably since 2nd or 3rd grade. Gametime is the best aau team at that age in NKy. Trevor works those kids really hard and teaches all of the right things. So if you ask me he is the guy that should get all of the credit for those kids development. He has done a great job with those kids.

My guess is you didn't go. They were all 3 pretty boring games. 6th and 7th were complete blowouts and 8th won by around 10.

Keep stirring that pot.
