Scott County/Highlands Predictions

I don't trust this Birds team enough yet to predict they can go to SC this early in the season and come out with a W. Not saying it can't happen, just still some unanswered questions and work to do for this team. What I am 100 percent sure about is regardless of the outcome, HHS will learn a lot and put those learnings into action for weeks to come. You basically get 10 scrimmages to figure out your team for the real season.

That is the best way to look at this game. I am right there with you.

I don't think HHS will win but that's ok. As long as HHS continues to get better each week

that is all you can hope for.

If Highlands has to rely on the pass, they will not win this game. Their QB is not polished and the only way he'll beat you is with his legs. If SC can manage Highlands' running game and prevent the big plays on the ground, they should win comfortably. Highlands' key to success this year will be their running game, not the passing attack.

You needing Depends has far more to do with your age than how your Bluebirds are playing.

I think Pulaski Co is one of the top teams in 5A, and HHS isn't in that group at the top. Scott Co. Beating Pulaski was huge and a great indicator of how good SC is. I think you're underestimating SC and Pulaski.

 

You basing a HS team off of the team 5 years ago isn't very bright.

You think they are a top team based upon what happened to Cooper last year? Have you seen them this year or for that matter did you see the game last night? Fine to have a prediction, but the continual bashing of poster after poster gets old. Funny how some get upset with a certain someone on here and yet tend to act pretty much the same way.

Pulaski won state yeah. But they played a bunch of second tier squads to get it.... No offense but Cooper was a team of juniors.

And didn't SC get booted from the playoffs in the second round at home? by a team that didn't even make to the finals? lackluster at best... there are like 4-5 teams in 6A that its still ok if you lose to them, Meade Co aint one.

Meade County was a fine squad last year and in 2013.

Show me a post that said that. I said the carousel keeps them out too long. Never said yards or carries. We're winning who cares. I picked against you. You mad at the other 40 people. All I said was 42-14 Scott county. I stand behind that. I never said a word but you want to start up with me again. I don't care about your tradition, feelings or any of that. Show me now. In reality that defense may give up 50. You don't win just because HHS is on the uniform. Is this the first senior class that has no tuition students in or behind it? Now that your district is closed you will have to deal with talent cycles of a smaller district like everyone else. Most of NKY feels HHS is soft and they suffer from the dilusions of entitlement. Everyone else has been working hard. Dales gone, no tuition students, your run is gone. I'll say it now, you will not win 5a this year. You will not anytime soon. Most of the kids I seen are under talented and undersized. You have a down class. Deal with it and get off the high horse it has broken legs. That ego you spoke about is definately part of the entitlement problem.

Who cares what grade the players were. If Cooper is a "second tier team" what does that make Highlands?

You being butt sore because I said Pulaski is a pretty good team shows just how insecure you truly are.

 

I used facts, something you have none of for your judgement of a team. Here I will help you out here.

Pulaski Co. is returning basically their entire starting lineup from a team that won 5A last year. Pulaski beat Cooper soundly, Cooper the same team that also returned the majority of their starters from last year that throttled Highlands in the season opener. So you ask me why I think Pulaski is good this year? Common sense my friend. You should try some one of these days.

Pulaski > Cooper
