Not gonna lie...I Goggled scabies several years ago. After itching like crazy for a few days and a trip to the dermatologist, turned out I had them and had no idea how I picked them up or even what they really were. I had just recently changed laundry detergent and thought at first I was having some sort of allergic reaction.

 

They are a very small parasite and most people pick them up from shaking hands with someone infected by them, which is why the infection usually starts at the wrist and spreads from there. In my profession I meet a lot of people and shake a lot of hands. Because they are so very easy to pass lots of people get them...and believe me, you don't want them. Pretty easy to get rid off...have to lather down head to toe with a medicated cream, keep on over night and it kills them. But they will itch the HECK out of you in the mean time.
