Is this official? I saw the article in the Herald this morning. Would be interesting to see. Barr would seem beatable by a stout opponent. Is Jones' a stout opponent?

I don't know enough about politics to know for sure. It's not official but he says he'll decide before basketball season

I like Matt's show...2 hours of my workday that I don't regret. However, can't see him giving up his baby (the show) and his soap box for politics just yet. Maybe down the road but not with Cal still here and the Cats at the top of the polls regularly.

I thought he lived in Louisville? If so, wouldn't he have to run against Yarmuth? If so, please run Matt, please, please, please.

He already had plans to move to Lexington in the next year.

How long can KSR keep up the momentum that they currently have? At some point the ride will end. If Jones rides it too long he may not have the popularity and name recognition that he currently has now.

Only way he leaves is if he finds a knock it out of the ball park radio replacement...after all that show is his baby and I'm sure financially he wants/needs it to stay relevant.

The KSR radio show isn't the same with another host. I believe the show would be just another show if he goes off the air.

Why can' the ride the momentum for a while? What might change?

A lot can change fast in today's world.

I tend to think people either love or hate Jones...and I think both groups would vote for him for different reasons. I really think he would win.

He can ride it for quite a while but all shows like this seem to run their course. Maybe KSR is different maybe it could last decades.

Louisville fans would come out of the woodwork to vote for him, just to get him off of the air :lol2:
