Salmons - 1 year as head coach Vanderhoof - 13 years as head coach I am sure that Salmons will rely on Vanderhoof's vast experience. That is a good thing!

This is why some area teams are where they are and Raceland is where are. Coach Salmons is the Head Coach and Coach Grizzle is the QB coach and they make the calls. Coach Hoof is loved and respected and was asked to come back on the staff. He is helping with the younger guys. All the coaches meet and discuss a game plan. But trust me, Coach Salmons calls the plays. Anyone that knows anything about our staff and our program knows how we roll.

All I am saying is that Coach Hoof is not involved in the offensive play calls. Coach Salmons has been calling the plays as OC and as HC since Coach Hoof resigned. We have avg over 40 points a game every year that Coach Salmons has been in charge. Believe me, he will not ask for his advice. Coach Hoof is working with the linemen and not the offensive schemes. It does sound like a comforting fallback, but Coach Salmons is very comfortable and confident in his play calling abilities and is decisive.

Vanderhoof will be a great addition to the staff.

Must have just been dumb luck that Coach Salmons led last season's team to a Regional Championship in his first season at the helm during what most thought was going to be a down year. I'm kinda slow myself, but I think that made back to back Regional Championships.
