Shameful Excuse For "Hunting"

Featured Replies

Sorry CWB, not going to watch the video. Just based upon your description, I'd probably be disgusted by it...and I just ate.

That's not hunting. That is target practice.

As a hunter that bothers me

Big business in Texas. We hunted turkey down there and the free range deer hunts on the ranches we hunted were a fraction of the high fence hunts. Some guys will pay a retarded fee for a canned hunt and a trophy and all that comes along with it. 10grand is common. And if you tag a monster it can be even more, charged by the inch. The industry is cutthroat with crazy amounts paid for AI of their doe and it's a huge industry there.

I am convinced that it is not only in science fiction movies that there are people who would pay to hunt other people if it were legal. So, these people wouldn't even think twice about killing anything else.

An old acquaintance once found an article that hunters actually hunt and shoot species that have larger phalluses than themselves. So, why don't they try something sporting like hunting fleas with .22's.

sad, sad, sad

Well, to brighten this thread up, and send it on a related (barely) tangent, is there any way you can take a videographer with you CWB? I'd love to see that hunt preserved on film. Maybe a GoPro camera!!

I caved and finally watched the video. The Elks looked like they were hand fed. I get that close to the deer in my back yard but I do not hunt them.

At least they outlawed laptop hunting in Texas. There used to be some website that had rifles set up on a ranch down there and you could control aiming and firing from your laptop thousands of miles away. They then would process it and send you the mount and meat.

I'm thinking the videographer is out of the question (unless you're talking a buddy with a camera). However...the GoPro idea is a VERY good possibility.

I've taken video of deer with my phone. Fun to do while you wait for the big one.

It's not for me but to each his own. If you want to shell out 5 figures to shoot penned animals it's no skin off my back.

I don't have a problem with it. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to go shark fishing.
