What Are Some Personal Rules Of Yours?

Featured Replies

Never wear a tie with a short-sleeved shirt.

Never wear dark dress shirts with a suit especially a black dress shirt.

Never button the bottom button on your jacket or vest.

Never wear crocs. Ever.

Tie has to come down to the belt but NOT below the belt.

I assume that means you are not a fan of bowties.

Always read a book series in order (unlike a communist friend of mine from Maysville).

Always check "likes received" before you check anything else when getting on BGP.

Always go in the left side entrance at Wal-Mart/Meijer.

Always open doors for others.

Always make sure cash in the wallet is positioned in the same way (front of bill facing me & right side up) & then ordered from smallest bills in the front to largest bills in the back.

Always keep your Getslow voodoo doll within arm's reach.

1, 2, 4, and 5 are great ones!

I think some people look very good in them, but I would never rock one. With a tux being the obvious exception.

A very old and VERY RICH gentleman I know wears one every day. He loves to be asked about them because he "has a story" and loves to share it. When he started in sales in the early 70's he was very "milquetoast" and couldn't people to remember him. He started wearing them and people started remembering him. It has been "his thing" ever since. He has more money than any 10 people on BGP combined, and gives the bowties nearly all of the credit for his professional success.

Yeah but 6 is a real stinker.

I violate your rule a lot. :lol2:

-No flip flops ever under any circumstances

-Always wear socks with shoes

-Adjust all mirrors when getting into a car I wasn't the last driver of

-Glass of ice water beside the bed every night when I lay down

-I tell my wife that I love her and that she is Beautiful everyday

-I tell always tell my son to Be Good and Be Careful before each shift

-Always wear socks with shoes

That's another I could've added: I almost never wear socks in the summer.

+ Wallet must be in back left rear pocket.

+ Grandchildren needs over kids needs.

+ Always have peanut butter in the pantry.

+ TUMS is a staple, must be available at all times.

+ If you go to a steak house, order steak, a seafood restaurant, order seafood, etc.

+ Never pull the Republican Lever in a voting machine.

+ Always remember that anything on BGP is not a reason to get upset or revolve your life around.

+ and if someone cuts you off in their car it is ok to give them the one finger salute, even if the grandkids are in the car. hey think it is hilarious and always tell their parents or mimic it at the wrong time in their parents' eyes. Another pay back to your kids. They won't keep them from you either because grandparents are FREE babysitting.
