April 4, 201610 yr I guess I'm the exception it appears. I thought the first 80 minutes were pure garbage. Probably the worst episode they've put together in 6 seasons. The last 13 minutes saved it. JDM as Negan is just outstanding. Perfect for the role. As to the ending, you knew it was coming, but it didn't bother me too much. Seemed somewhat obvious that it was Daryl. JMO. I would argue that with the Morgan flashback episode. That one was a doozy.

Although most of it was Them driving back and forth I think that showed just how intense it was getting and how the Saviors were cornering them. Although many knew it was coming, I don't think it made it any better to just not show who was killed. Just made no sense
April 4, 201610 yr I would argue that with the Morgan flashback episode. That one was a doozy. That was one of the best story episodes they ever done.
April 4, 201610 yr I thought the show was great right up until he bashed a camera. There was no need to ruin a perfectly good camera like that.
April 4, 201610 yr That was one of the best story episodes they ever done. I couldn't find interest in it. I was more interested in watching my dog spin in circles chasing her tail. But these are opinions, so I'm fine with it.
April 4, 201610 yr Overall I thought it was a good season finale. They carried on the road blocking sequence one too many times, but I thought they did a good job of building suspense. Since every viewer knew somebody was going to die I don't think there would have been any harm in showing it. Then maybe going back to Negan saying, "On second thought, since you killed so many of my followers, one more will do the trick..." Then fade to black. Either way, I wasn't overly offended. It is not going to be him, but we can all cross our fingers for the next six months that it is Carl, can't we?

April 4, 201610 yr I thought it was interesting that in the after show the cast said they are unsure of who it is. I don't buy that, but still thought it was interesting. I guess they could have shot the rest of the scene, but now this makes sure they are all on set in May.
April 4, 201610 yr We know it's not Carl or Rick based on Negan's orders at the end. Something along the lines of "No talking. If anyone talks cut out the kids other eye and feed it to his dad."... Assuming it sticks to form and Negan doesn't kill women, that eliminates Rosita, Maggie, Sasha, and Michonne. Leaving us with Eugene, Abraham, Daryl, Glenn, or Aaron. I think it's safe to say it isn't Aaron or Eugene, because no one would care. Leaves Abraham, Daryl, or Glenn as the only real possibilities.
April 4, 201610 yr I loved it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire show. I'm not upset about the cliffhanger, of course I spent a good portion of my high school days watching shows like Dynasty, Dallas and Knots Landing where every season ended with a cliffhanger!

Nope I'm with you brother, I know its fake and its zombies, but the RV driving in circles over an over again was really bad. The fire just starting in the log pile was super bad. The writers were tired and just wanted to get to the last 15 minutes is my only guess. This long time watcher was embarrassed for the writers/producer's to put that out as a final to what I think was maybe the best season so far.
April 4, 201610 yr Touched on it before the show, fat chance it was random right? Those of us who don't read spoilers/comics know nothing about Negan, so my answer would be i don't know
April 4, 201610 yr I don't mind the cliffhanger, it's a tv show, they have cliffhangers. The more I think about it, though, the less I like it. It is like they came up with this idea of all the major characters on their knees out in the woods and one of them gets head bashed in. So they started with the ending and fit the show around it. Why did Daryl go out of the city? To revenge Denise? Nope, he went out so Glen and Rosalita and Michone could go out to stop him so they could all get captured and be part of the final scene. Why does hilltop have an ob/gyn, why does Maggie get ill and why do all the remaining major characters climb into an rv? To get Maggie to the doctor? Nope, to get caught so they can be in the final scene. How did the Negan people know they would pile in the rv? How did they manage to pull all those roadblocks off so easily? How did they park the rv and at the same time manage to herd Rick et al within a ten second run of the rv? The whole thing seems, in hindsight, horribly contrived just to get to the point of the final scene. I thought it was crazy Rick didn't shoot at that first roadblock. Was very un-Rick-like. I have enjoyed this season, but this last episode was not awesome as it should have been. P.S. did he really talk about pee pee pants? who wrote that, my granddaughter?
