July 6, 201511 yr There has to be a point where it is not worth the expense to sponsor teams. Heard the UA deal at UC was 7 mil in free goods? 5 million a year. 3 in equiptment and 2 in cash roughly...
July 6, 201511 yr Adidas has churned out junk for years. From football helmets to neon basketball uniforms, their teams have been jokes. Teams like uniforms and variety, but not to be laughed at.
July 6, 201511 yr 5 million a year. 3 in equiptment and 2 in cash roughly... I've not seen the contract anywhere, but are there exceptions for some of the Olympic sports (i.e. Swimming, Volleyball, etc.)? If not, I bet that was a really popular (sarcasm font) decision in several of the offices throughout the honeycomb.

July 6, 201511 yr Hopefully they can lose Louisville soon. :lol2: I feel like Jurich will have Louisville as the last Adidas school standing if it comes to that.
July 7, 201511 yr Adidas is garbage. Under Armour is much better, heck even Russell has better gear. But NIKE is top dog.
July 7, 201511 yr UM AD says the deal is the biggest in the country. Until Texas inks their UA deal for 10 years/150 million... :scared:
July 7, 201511 yr Author Until Texas inks their UA deal for 10 years/150 million... :scared: UM had a clause with Adidas that they would be the highest-paid client. I wonder if they have any such clause for non-Nike schools. $9M/year.
August 14, 201511 yr Michigan will be the first school to wear Jordan brand on the gridiron. Switching to Nike was huge but Jordan brand takes that a step further. This will be very appealing to high school athletes in addition to playing for Harbaugh. Hate that it has to be Michigan that's debuting the Jordan Brand, however I'm sure it won't be long before other schools are as well. It will be interesting to if any changes are made to the unis other than the Jordan logo being embroidered on. With Michigans uniforms being so traditional I doubt it.
