I wonder if his arm talent will ever be enough to unseat Pat in Lexington. You have to admit, of the last 3 'big time' QB's to come out of NKY, only Pat has performed as we all expected. The other two have been disappointments for different reasons.

I'm more offended by Pat Towles wanting to be Harry Potter than Barker's tweet. If we really want to talk about SEC quarterbacks and living up to a persona and all.......

Many of believed Pat would be the started at UK once he signed. He's done nothing to convince me he shouldn't be the starter.

You know when I first saw it my reaction was "Jeez what is he thinking"...but I agree, I don't know what is so offensive. It's sad that we all look at things like this and wondering if anyone will be offended.

 

Guess what, no matter what is said someone will be offended by it. That doesn't give a free ride to someone spouting off racial or bigoted rants, but everything isn't as bad as we all make it seem sometimes.

 

This if anything is insensitive to those families that lost loved ones that day, the Japanese shouldn't really have much to be offended by what he said...not like he's got a ton of followers in Japan.

Likewise... I definitely see where you are coming from though and I do agree to a certain extent that if you do the crime you deserve to pay the piper. When Barker shot airguns shutting down campus or got in a big fight, I completely agree it's worth bringing it to light considering any media outlet in Kentucky would have done just that.

 

I just think sensationalism should have a limit when the offense by and large is something probably half of us have seen from our "Non College Quarterback" friends that we just glossed over. This is a guy baiting for clicks and secretly hoping he could get this kid in trouble because he plays for a rival school. That is immature to me and amateur hour.

With good reason. I was definitely disappointed but the redshirt year was the right thing to do. Last year would have been a wasted season for Barker.

This will be his last season starting. He's done nothing to convince me that he isn't doing anything more than keeping the seat warm for Barker when Barker has shown he is ready.
