Maybe you are a far better person than the rest of us.. but I would even quantify myself as a "good kid" when I was 18 through college... with that said there were certainly things I said, did, or took part in that had someone put my life under the microscope could have ruined me. I would say the vast majority of people would agree that their 18-21 year old self was a disaster waiting to happen in hindsight. I am WAY more out there now than I was then.
July 6, 201511 yr No gossip would be, "I heard Drew Barker tweeted..." A screenshot of his actual tweet is fact, not gossip. He is the QB of an SEC football program. If he Tweets something stupid, it will be talked about. That's on him...not the media. Considering that tweet has been deleted isn't that essentially exactly what they are saying? Is it not the journalistic equivalent of "OMG look what he posted!"

July 6, 201511 yr So..who's at fault? the 20 year old college kid, the parents for not teaching him to be sensitive to these types of things, coaches for continuing to allow him to be juvenile or us for even caring what this dope says? Correct answer is all the above.. and even though I argue that a college kid's judgment isn't sound... the brunt of the accountability has to be on his shoulders. The "Like" button and "Re-Tweet" button has really set society back.
July 6, 201511 yr Drew made the statement public when he tweeted it. Part of being a recognizable athlete. One of the lines in the story was something like, "I put UK QB instead of Drew Barker because nobody knows who he is since he doesn't play."

I made poor decisions yesterday. I'm no better than anyone else. I made mistakes, suffered the consequences and learned from them. That's how it works.
