June 30, 201511 yr Author I'll take the Mambas. I give them the slightest of nods over Magic's bunch. 3-5 years from now, I think I'll take Magic's team, assuming Davis continues to improve.
June 30, 201511 yr Author Do I get to pick any 5 or do I have to pick one of the rows as my 5? My intent for the thread was which row of 5 would you take, but feel free to add which 5 you'd take overall. :thumb:

I think I could rule out the bottom 5 with LBJ, because I do not think that team would play well together. I don't like Kobe, so his team loses the tiebreaker (although I think CP3 is the perfect PG for this type of game). Ultimately, I'd have to go with Magic's team because he has the ability to distribute, plus their length would give others problems.
June 30, 201511 yr Give me Magic's squad. So much length at each position except for SF, and I'm playing KD at the 2.
June 30, 201511 yr Gotta go with Kobe's. I'd rank them.... 1. Kobe's squad 2. Jordan's squad 3. LeBron's squad 4. Magic's squad This could all change in about 5 years once we see hoe elite Davis really can become.
June 30, 201511 yr Magic's squad. Davis is the truth, Magic and Wilt are 2 of the top 5 players ever IMO, Pippen can guard anyone and Young TMac can handle the scoring. The Kobe's are the second best group. Great collection, not very athletic top to bottom though in comparison to the other teams in their primes. MJ and LeBron got left with the "worst" crews. However, LeBron has the most unguardable player in Shaq. With him they would always have a chance.
June 30, 201511 yr Magic's squad has two of the most athletic bigs in history. Maybe the two most athletic. Then you take into account Durant and Johnson. I am concerned how they would handle AI or CP3's penetration due to their lack of overall quickness at the 1-3.

June 30, 201511 yr As a well known Basketball Expert said elsewhere, LeBron's team is the most physically dominating. That said, with 2 Power Forwards and Shaq in the middle they could get abused off of the dribble. But they would be hell to defend against. Team Kobe would be a fundamentally sick, but I can't stand CP3 and I think he would break under pressure...either from Kobe or the other teams. The Jordanairs would scary good, imagine MJ playing with not just 1 but 2 skilled big men for the first time in his career. Hakeem the most under appreciated great player of our time, can more than hold his own against any center ever and A.I. wasn't MVP for nothing...alas D-Wade sinks them...he'd sulk around and MJ would break him down mentally so bad in practice he'd be worthless in the games. That leaves me with Magic's team...watching old Lakers games lately I was reminded of just how good Magic actually was...add in Wilt (GOAT in my mind) Davis (Nearly the best player today) KD and Pippen an elite defender and I think the Magic squad wins out. Man would it be fun to watch!!!
June 30, 201511 yr Lebron's team scares me. No one can match up with them physically. The Lebron/Shaq/Barkley trio is nuts and then you add Russ and Malone to them also? I was glad to see they put Russ into the equation here. Russ is a beast. MJ's team looks the weakest to me but that is because of where I put DWade and AI. While Russ isn't a traditional PG this team doesn't have one either but they don't have the physical dominance that Lebron's team has. They are highly skilled with Robinson and Hakeem so that could be what puts them over. Magic's team is ridiculous. KD would get buckets for days, Magic would have 30+ assists, Wilt would flourish and AD and Pippen defensively would be a problem. AD's youth and inexperience compared to everyone else could be an issue of concern for this team. The Kobe's would win it all. Kobe and Larry and Kareem? With Timmy too? They'd never miss a shot in the paint and the sky hook would never be blocked(Eat it, Wilt and AD). Even CP0 couldn't mess that up.
