Something to keep in mind with 7v7s is that many team use them to look at position battles as well as extra practice at putting together a passing game. Most coaching staffs don't put much emphasis on winning the tourneys more so just getting solid reps against competition.

 

People care way too much about who wins 7v7s. Don't. Just pay attention to your teams development and how competitive they are as a whole team. Cause some 2s and 3s may be playing against another teams 1s just for reps.

 

Don't over think all this people. Don't worry real football is just around the corner.

Someone posted earlier about Boone County going undefeated last summer in 7v7. Is this true? What was their record at the end of the season?

Amen. You are right on about the 7on 7's. They mean very little in the overall picture of real team strength. One of the better 7 0n 7 teams I saw last year won only 5 games and finished 3rd in their district.

The Passing scrimmage and 7On7 at Central Hardin high school will begin around 10am Saturday morning July 25th. Players will be in the heat most of the day so we are asking for parents that may have canopies to bring them to keep the players out of the heat as much as possible. Also players may want to bring a sack lunch or money for the concessions. We welcome everyone out to the support the boys. Admission is $2 a person. Go BRUINS!!!

Scott looked pretty good on offense. Passes looked fairly sharp and a couple guys showed some good hands. Guys were getting open so certainly upside should they decide to open it up a little. Defense was decent but some blown assignments left guys open for easy completions. Worked a lot of players in and out so looks like still a work in progress. No line pressure obviously plays a huge roll as well. Decent amount of spectators which was good to see as well.

So and so not there, so and so out with a stubbed toe, etc. I know it doesn't mean diddly as far as the season goes, but for someone who thinks SK's burbs and farts are like symphonies, you may need to be medicated.

I agree on the offensive side of the ball . Scott's Senior QB Fitzgerald looked good and was throwing with confidence. He had great accuracy and zip on the ball. The receivers caught many great passes and got open often . As for defense . I see some room for improvement with the secondary. They have a few more weeks to get the secondary together. As you stated , the defensive line could be helpful by applying some pressure on the QB to help Scott's secondary out !! Good luck Eagles !!

Racke didn't play because he did so good last weekend 200 passes no interceptions. SK gave the back ups some reps. The back up qb is only a Sophomore so he needs all the reps he can get.
