Mack The Knife Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 The man who prosecuted Charles Manson is dead at 80. I always thought he was fascinating to listen to on TV.
All Tell Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Who would have thought that Manson would outlive him.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Who would have thought that Manson would outlive him. Manson.
lawildcat Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I'm sure Manson is carving a tribute into his forehead as we speak.
All Tell Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I watched the 1976 TV adaptation of Helter Skelter. I was 16. Totally freaked me out. Read the book a few years later. Freaked out again.
Science Friction Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I watched the 1976 TV adaptation of Helter Skelter. I was 16. Totally freaked me out. Read the book a few years later. Freaked out again. Yeah, same here. Really gave me the creeps.
Mack The Knife Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Yeah, same here. Really gave me the creeps. Ditto for me. I was also 16.
Beechwoodfan Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Manson is also 80. Hard to believe he didn't go first iin some prison incident.
TAC Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 When Vincent looked at his watch that had stopped than to Charlie and he smiles. That still haunts me to this day.

mcpapa Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I think the guy that played Masnon was named Steve Railsback. He had the look for sure.
mcpapa Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 When Vincent looked at his watch that had stopped than to Charlie and he smiles. That still haunts me to this day. Best scene in the movie.
Jumper_Dad Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I heard this case discussed several years ago on some TV program...they said in today's legal climate Manson would have been hard to convict of murder since he wasn't at either scene. He might have gotten 10-20 but they all thought that he would have been out for several years by know if things were then as they are now.
The Professor Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I read his 1,600 page book (and small print at that) about the Kennedy assassination. He spent about 20 years researching and writing the book. He hand wrote the entire work on legal pads and his secreatary transcribed it for him.
