Aric Holman will announce plans for his future at 10:30 central time today, after graduation practice, at the Sportscenter.

Holman was originally was planning to re-classify and attend Hargrave. It is unknown if that is still the plan and the announcement is post prep school, or if he has changed his mind to take a D1 offer on the table. Lots of rumors flying about Aric heading to Mississippi State.

Just based on everything I've seen and heard, it seems like he might be going to MSU.

Well...so much for his announcement:

@steveJones_CJ Owensboro coach Rod Drake said 4-star PF Aric Holman plans to sign with Miss State today for 2015. Had initially planned to do a yr of prep

For anyone to sign with an SEC school, he has to be good. Was he being recruited by any other major D1 schools?

He was being recruited by like 30 high major D1 schools.

This is a basketball thread. :D

Who were the top "name" schools looking at him?

VCU, South Carolina, Miss ST,Auburn, Kansas ST, Memphis, OK ST, WKU, Murray St, I know Louisville showed interest also but not sure that they ever offered. There was quite a few other smaller D1 as well

I like his choice. Always did like Ben Howland as a Coach and they will have Malik Newman as well. Congrats and Good Luck to the young man.

Wow,,,,,these guys from Owensboro sure do change their minds a lot.

This is a nice bunch of Seniors. How many D1 signers on the KY All star team, 7? It seems like most years we have about 3.

Holman may miss the season due to micro fracture knee surgery.

Sad to hear this.

That will put him and Eli Wright at starting the team together. Silver lining I guess.
