Word from the front desk is the appendix ruptured during operation and the surgery has gone on longer than expected. Said to be in an addition two hours than expected.

Just got more word from the surgeon: the rupture was worse than expected. The appendix had turned black and had narcosis (infection) and had infected some of his colon. They had to remove some of his colon. The surgery was only supposed to be for an hour and has now been three (started at approx. 1:15). They also said it may go for a few more hours.

 

Ram is not doing well.

Can't get Ram off my mind but as one smart guy just told me, Ram is one of the toughest people we know and he will come through.

He has made it out of surgery. Much worse than expected. More colon was removed.
