....answer to original ? Because they are smart and have vision! Sorry for not throwing my 2 cents in earlier...projected 2,5,7,10 year residential housing growth will far exceed Kenton & Campbell counties. Boone county has space and will develop. Too many people are making $$$ not to!

 

It just makes good planning and development sense with a long term perspective ( what a concept )...decisions made with short and long term impacts considered!

Taking your side of it (and assuming Cooper isn't afraid to play anyone in the postseason) do you agree the Cooper powers that be believe they have a better chance to win the 6A State Championship than the 5A State Championship?

I may be in the minority here, but I don't think "having a better chance to win" had anything to do with it.

If anyone thought playing in 6A is any easier than winning in 5A must have been dropped on their heads one too many times lol. I would think if anyone had to sit down and think about which is easier to win a state championship in the answer would always be it's easier to win in 5A than 6A. So again, I don't think that had anything to do with the thought process of moving up to a higher class.

Agree. I'm sure it was a financial decision with them expecting less travel to be involved in 6A. Had they known HHS and CCH were moving up they probably would have stayed 5A as they would also have less travel while having a better opportunity for playoff success.

Great point. Which begs to question once again why is the same thing not being asked to CovCath and Highlands? Why move up to 5A when 4A would be easier to win. Especially CovCath who I believe even with their increasing enrollment would have been able to stay in 4A if they had wanted to.

 

I'm just curious why these two teams get questioned for moving up, when all the same arguments could be made for why did Highlands and CovCath move up?
