They usually have one that has a list of webcast and a lot of people post the links to games during the season.

Somebody was talking about Don Weber the other day. I think BGPS should use a public access channel and make a little Friday or Saturday night highlight show and have Don Weber the host. Just a idea I think it would be awesome. Or make it a Thursday night show and have them go over the games that week and give some predictions.

We would strongly encourage anyone from any school with a webcast to post the link in the prediction thread. Additionally, Ram has done a bang up job in the past trying to get all those links in one thread.

Trust me when I say this thread is important.

Updates, Final Scores and Recaps immediately after the game, Contest, Prediction threads and Preseason discussion.

 

HS Football is my favorite thing on BGP and it's why I came here to begin with.

I like reading about the games in our area and throughout the state.

The updates to me are great! there are many Friday nights I am flipping netween games that are tight.

You know what would be a great addition to this forum? How about a spotlight of the week? A thread on a different player each week from teams all around the state. I'm not talking about a star player that everyone knows of or a player that someone endlessly promotes every chance he gets, but a random player from a different team each week.

 

Could be be some one that doesn't get a lot of publicity, a lineman who hasn't had his name mentioned a lot, a kicker, a feel good story, a kid who has played the game since 1st grade or a player that has never seen the field much at all yet busts his butt in practice everyday year after year just to be a part of the team.

 

Feel good old stories would be nice.

Whereabouts in Pennsylvania?

 

Hanover. About 13 miles south of York and 5 miles from Maryland. I can be in downtown Baltimore in 55 minutes. Track and soccer are the big sports in this area. I coached youth soccer for 10 years and enjoy watching soccer. My boy started for 3 years and I used most of my vacation days for him those years. I coached probably 3/4 of the guys at one time or another between travel soccer and AYSO--even went to Hershey for two 8 hour clinics and got a coaching license. I had more fun than the kids did but I don't miss the 4 and 5 hour round trips. That is what I love about BGP--we cover all the high school sports plus it helps me keep my Kentucky roots.

My favorite thread this past year was the one with all of the old pictures.

I like when there is a fan or a group of fans who give us updates & information about their team throughout the season. As an example...I've kept up some with Monroe County over the last couple of years because @tsyoung7 has done a good job of keeping BGP informed. I don't even know where Monroe County is, but I know some about their football team because of him.
