Johnson Central, IMO, is a lock this year now that Highlands Ans CovCath have gone on to bigger and better things. Seems like every year JC talked about how it was the time to get over the hump of either HHS or CCH but always ended up losing to one or the other. JC is my EARLY prediction

Transfer I think is Ryan Muck. Had productive year catching the ball, runs good routes, has great hands, threw for a couple touchdowns and blocks well downfield. He has good size as well. I think he is around 6'1". I heard he is having to appeal for eligibility though which may result in missing Spring ball.

JV games? I don't remember him playing Varsity. I hope he has a great season. He will be a Junior.

Yes JV starter as a slot. Is there another transfer coming from SK that was a varsity player? I dont recall sk losing any other players that I heard.

Muck is the only one I know that is transferring.

I agree. I am not sure the details, I just know it has been denied. When Sk got Miller last year it was one week before scrimmage and he had practiced and played varsity ball and was going into senior year. I believe the athletic director and head coach have to sign off from both schools involved, then it goes faster to state for approval. Coach Woolley always signs off . If a kid doesn't want to play , he doesn't hold them back. Example: Miller , Lunsford.

Open enrollment does not overrule KHSAA eligibility rules. Open enrollment only allows a family to choose any school in the district to attend. The only stipulation is, if you don't go to the school you are assigned to, you have to find your own transportation.

I am a firm believer for Scott to compete for a state championship they need to be more balanced offensively. Their defense is never that strong and if they get down they can't come back. Scott has the personnel but not the right offensive scheme. You need to adapt to the talent around you.. For example Highlands has thrown the ball a ton the past few years. I will bet the bank they will run the ball more and pass less this year because of the personnel they have. It needs to be at least 65/35 not 95/5..Scott also needs to develop qb's better. Hopefully they will develop Nelson Perrin into a very good passer. I would hate to see his talent go to waste. Nelson is one of the most dynamic and elusive runners I have seen in a long while. The kid could be special with the right development!!! Don't mess it up Scott!!

Cool. Thanks for the clarification, like I said wasn't sure on details. I hope the young man does get an opportunity to play for the Eagles.

I think a winning season would be a success. Let's start there first. Geez. They are finally playing a tougher schedule so kudos to them. Trouble is, they beat up on weak opponents the last couple years and struggles against the better teams. A state title threat? I just don't see it.

I like the baby step philosophy too. I hope they make a great run down state, but lets first have a winning season which would I believe have only had 1 or 2 in their school history? Then lets win a playoff game. I love the enthusiasm as I am a big fan of them doing well, but lets first win in the regular season against good teams.

I would love to see them win their district and win a game or 2 in the playoffs..

Yeah . I think your right, he had a ton of tackles last season , and with him and Berling in the middle, the defense should do well. I am looking forward into thier leadership along with senior Ron Rice on defense, putting pressure on the quarterback. These three guys will be exciting to watch !!!
