He couldn't, he was getting roasted on defense.

 

Part of that is because they kept switching everything. Several times he got stuck on 7' Kaiminsky. Giving up a lot of inches there.

He will make close to 1 mill to play in the

D League next year or NBA. Or come back to UK, some kids just can resist and hope it all pans out long term.

From a casual recruit follower with no inside info. Newman and Zimmerman...if not one more. I don't think it makes sense for Swanigan to come. Jaylen Brown I just don't get a big UK vibe from him. Diallo would be a nice pick up, but no idea where he leans. St. John's maybe?

Also Thon....would like to see Cal make a nice run at him as well, especially if they don't get Zimmerman.

How did it not work for the Harrisons? They were projected in the second round last year and they are projected the same this year. That is a totally different point anyway. The Harrisons aren't guaranteed to make any team at all. So they would be going from improving in college instead of working somewhere else.

 

I guess I just don't see the rush to go pro when you are going to be picked in the 26-30 spot when you have a lot of upside and one more year of college would put you in the 10-15 range. But I understand it cause it is simple: Money Talks

You do realize you can improve your game in the DLeague or the NBA, and not just college right? Why would you turn down a multi-million dollar contract to spend another year playing for free and risk injury or regression? It's all about getting to that second contract as quickly as possible.

A) It's 3 year guaranteed contracts.

 

B) Players improve at a much higher rate in the NBA & DLeague than they do at the college level.
