Gabe Grey was near the top in the state stats wise a few years ago. I don't know if that falls within your definition "a long time", but seeing as you still crow about a win vs some Louisville school from 2008, I'm guessing it does.

The past few years the QB run has been a larger part of the O not to mention spreading it around to multiple WR's which is a good thing. Evistons offense will be fun to watch - should have multiple threats, which again, is a good thing.

I'd say it had more to due with the scheme and the play calling than the talent of the RBs. It's hard to establish a physical running game when you always go out of shotgun and your linemen never put their hand on the ground. Not to mention they treated bubble sceens like extended hand offs, which I'm sure CovCath fans will be happy to know are not a staple of Coach Eviston's offense.

Wow they can get it done in 2 weeks or so and Highlands takes 2 months or more. I hear at Highlands this year they will be going for 2 since the goal posts were unexpectedly taken down and cut up.

The other big factor there is just the headset. When you put that hand down, know you are running it, and the other team knows you are running it, and you run it anyway - that cultivates a whole different attack headset in your linemen and helps generate more success in the running game. Nothing is more fun than unleashing that aggression, exploding off the line at the snap and attacking.

What will the Colonels look like on the defensive side this season? Are they going to stay with their 3-3 stack or will they base out of a 40?
