He was an assistant at NKU before Bezold got fired. He's looking for work now.

If hired he would have coached more regional champions than any active 16th region coach.

All I have heard from Smith that he has not been offered the job nor as has any offer been made. I know that he is wanting his wife a job but most believe he is just wanting more money where he is as he is all about the money.

Seems they would want to move this process along to start building for next year.

Smith is out of the running as he send out a text saying he was not going to Ashland and staying at Sheldon Clark.

I'm really shocked that Ashland has not made a decision on their head coaching position. Grant, it is an important decision and it shouldn't be made in haste but I have to believe there are good candidates out there.

 

I'm interested in seeing how this all plays out! I would like to see Ashland get back on track!

With the way this hiring has been handled, you have to wonder if Ashland problems might be bigger than coaching.
