Smith is out of the running as he send out a text saying he was not going to Ashland and staying at Sheldon Clark.

All I have heard from Smith that he has not been offered the job nor as has any offer been made. I know that he is wanting his wife a job but most believe he is just wanting more money where he is as he is all about the money.

Hate to see the tryouts end, so just wondering will the 16 players of the regions the ones that will be considered.

Well Smith will only say that the job has not be offered nor has any money been discussed but someone, either Ashland or Smith needs to make a decision. Apparently Smith is not happy in Martin County because he was the one that called Ashland when the job came open. Every year since he has been here the off season has been one of wonderment for Cardinal basketball fans and players as he has went and talked with other schools and that is not fair to them. Smith is like so many other coaches, money comes first and loyalty has nothing to do with things. If he takes the Ashland job then they will have to wonder after every season. He owes the players at Sheldon Clark and the Martin County community an apology for seeking any other job.

Heard that Smith is going to interview Tuesday and I am hearing its his job to turn down.
