My answer is too fast. Unfortunatley it has caused me to have more than my fair share of tickets over the years. I was traveling to El Paso a few years back and came across a sign similar to this the one in the photo. It was a wonderful driving experience.

It made me get my tail back in the city to handle all the accident calls.

 

Or to answer your question, speed enforcement in weather in a heavy traffic environment is not a good idea. You get out of the way.

I was never a big ticket writer but when I did some interstate enforcement I preferred to wait for vehicles doing 20 over. If it was a slow day (pun definitely intended) I would go with 15 over as my starting point.

 

You sound like my uncle lol. He always said that writing speeding tickets was a waste of time unless they were driving well over the limit. He said writing tickets to people driving 10-15 over was pointless because they would just pay the fine and continue driving at the same speeds.

I remember my last day of dedicated speed enforcement on the interstate, I was doing my typical 20 over thing and three of the four vehicles I stopped were off duty law enforcement officers.

Mostly between 75-80. Try to stay under 80 but sometimes I slip a little higher and slow back down.

 

Usually don't use CC in my car, but will in my girlfriend's because its easy for me to creep up without realizing it.
