Who wins, by how much, and why?

"Just to cut to the chase, are your basketball friends in the K-Y predicting a Doss victory this afternoon? Reading between the lines with this post, that appears to be what you're alluding to."

Since I got asked about my opinion on the last game, I'll go ahead and respond to this one since I didn't get a chance to last time (aside from taking Doss in the poll). My "MENSA members" tell me that Owensboro will win this game (inside joke)...

Seriously though, no one can beat Covington Catholic, the best team and best dynasty in the State. It's not even close. If you are even questioning the Colonels losing, you should have your head checked.

This will be a close game I think, but the way things have been going, you just can't tell. Miller will give Cov Cath some problems IMO. They will need to play help defense to keep both of their big boys from controlling the game. Cov Cath plays smart and play so well together. Really hope they win.

CovCath will have their hands full in this win. Owensboro is playing at a very high level with two big men that are tough to defend. One strong enough to bull his way to the basket and the other one who looks like he is on a pogo stick with how quickly he gets up in the air.

CovCath will need to do better than one made 3-pointer to win this one.

From the performances today, Owensboro has to be the favorite going into this one.

If all goes well ill be there for this game. And I'll be sure to stop by section 32 to see one of my favorite BGP members.

That front line is going to be a load for the Colonels to handle.

.....

Oh Joker....

I'm sorry your boys told you in December that CovCath wasn't very good, and now, 3 months later, they've bumbled their way to the Final Four. Weird...right?

Don't worry, Owensboro will win tomorrow and you'll be able to point out that their shortcomings caught up with them. Full vindication.

Regardless, tomorrow I get to be IN Kentucky, at Rupp, and attending the two Sweet 16 semis. Doesn't get much better than that.

Covcath has seen some of the best guards a team can face throughout a regular and post season and more than held their own...one thing they haven't seen is a team with multiple bigs like Owensboro has that bring different dynamics to the game. Yes, Newcath has McDonald and Weyer but Holman and Miller are on another level right now.

Romes has been able to use his strength against most bigs this season as an undersized forward but Miller is another type of cat.

Same with Schuh going against Holman. He held his own against Spalding though so i don't think this is as tough of a match up for CCH as Miller is going to be.

Good luck to the Colonels tomorrow night.

You're spot-on! Miller is a MAN. You have to hope that Bo can play Holman to a draw, you can concoct something to impact Miller, and then utilize the advantage that I thnk CovCath has in the backcourt.

All I know is if it is close going into the 4th, CCH will win. They are an outstanding finishing team.

My guess is CCH uses multiple defenses, including more zone than usual to prevent Owensboro from just dumping the ball in the paint every possession. I also don't think Owensboro shoots that well from outside.

Bo can play with Holman as long as he keeps a body on him at both ends. If he doesn't, Holman will eat them up on the boards with his length and athleticism.

Owensboro 40% from 3 for the year

Owensboro in a.close one....playing hot at the right time and with the right matchup against a team that just hasn't faced a team like the Red Devils. Better come to play some physical basketball against Owensboro.

That is very impressive.

What time is the game?

Will be rooting for the Colonels to make another final but it sure sounds like they will have their hands full.

Sanford an Morrow are the shooters
