So, who shouldn't be in?

UCLA IMO was the worst team to get in.

The Chicago PD is still looking for the perpetrator of an assault on the UCLA basketball team in December. The bruins were beaten so badly their eyes swelled shut before they could see the attacker.

Beating was so bad they could barely find the basket in the first half of a game they played there :)

Sorry, there is no valid argument for Murray State being in the field.

Using top 25 rankings as a reason simply shows a lack of understanding of what the rankings are.

They played two "good" teams all season. Both obliterated them.

I will preface this by saying it's an accomplishment to win 25 straight... But didn't Murray State lose by like... 30 to every tournament team they played?

To me, Temple is the biggest snub.

I'm rolling with Texas, UCLA, Indiana, OK St and Ole Miss.

Murray St. should be in over every one of these five.

I'm not buying Murray St. deserving to be in, too many really bad losses. UCLA should not be in for certain, and Miami and Temple should be in over probably everyone you mentioned.

The real flaw in the system is where teams like Texas get 'points' for losing multiple times to teams that they have to play....

Lots of teams benefitted from that. The NCAA rep on the selection show flat-out said they used strength of schedule when selecting teams and clearly did so without much regard for how they fared against that schedule.

How many times did you watch Murray this year?

I watched them once, when they played Morehead in the tourney, didn't see anything that showed me that they deserved an at large bid. I would have liked for them to get in, but unless they play more competitively against good out of conference teams that make the field, their fate will be decided on whether they win their conference tournament.

I believe they played 2 teams out of conference who are in the field and lost by 27 and by 35.

Murray ended up a 3 seed in the NIT which means that board figured there were at least 8 teams ahead of them. Can't see it. Would be neat to have both the NCAA and NIT champions come out of KY.

Colorado St. got the shaft and UCLA got the gold mine. Let's face it, money talks and I'm pretty sure UCLA travels better than Colorado St. Attendance has been down the last few years and don't think the committee doesn't take that into consideration.
