I will be pulling for Boyle County. I have some real good friends from there so I must stay with them.

Going into region, I would've picked Lex Cath. After Boyle's performance at region, I'm going with the Rebels. But I am surprised that so many are picking the 12th region champs ove the 11th region champs.

I am counting on Elkins to have another sterling defensive game, shutting down the inside for the Rebels. Still, I predict a tight game, 61-60 Boyle!

Ill take Lexington Catholic, I think they have will handle the pressure of playing in Rupp alittle better. Boyle is extremely good and if Bell and Tyler have good games than I will be wrong. I don't think Catholic can stop either one of those guys, its just a matter of if they shoot the ball well. Elkins is a game changer but I don't see him being the difference in this game. 64-55 LexCath

I think it depends on which Boyle County team shows up. Is it the team that was beaten down twice by Lincoln County, or the team that handled Cov Cath?

 

I think Lex Cath will bring their game no matter what - and I expect them to win - but if Boyle (specifically Hagen Tyler and Colton Elkins) comes out with a fire in their eyes, they'll win this one.

Saw these 2 play earlier in the year & LexCath pretty well had its way with Boyle. I think the Rebels reverse the outcome this time & win by 2.

I'd love to see Elkins have a 20 pt game!

Lexington Catholic is really good at having a defensive gameplan, and I think the fact that Boyle Co relies so much on 2 guys to score is really going to be tough for the Rebels to put up enough points.

I would like to see Boyle win, but in the end I had to go with the Knights.

Know what you are saying in that Tyler and Bell score most of Boyle's points, but I think Elkins is just as capable and is a kid who could give Lexington Catholic some problems. Will be interesting to see. Neither school has kids who've really played in Rupp and the unfamiliar shooting background typically favors inside play, at least early on in the game.

 

I know Catholic played their regional at EKU, but would still imagine that the difference in shooting between there and in Rupp is quite drastic.

I'd imagine that they probably don't want to use Tanner Johnson on him much for risk of foul trouble, but it might come to a situation where they have to.

I thought they did a really good job on Ross Jenkins in the district finals, and to me he is a far superior offensive threat to Elkins. I haven't seen Elkins as a guy who can take over a game offensively.

He will get some easier opportunities thanks to the focus given to Bell and Tyler, but I don't thank that would be enough to offset if LexCath can slow down either of those two guards.

This is a really good first round game. I'll take catholic by 3 but wouldn't be surprised if Boyle won. Think catholic is better 1-8 but Boyle has best player on court. I'll pick the winner of this game whoever it is to make a deep run. Like both these teams.
