Really proud of the Cru tonight. Many people weren't even giving them a chance in this tournament. Just ran out of gas. They all should hold their heads high. Hats off to CCH. They are the better team.

How about Adam Goetz? Tonight the area was introduced to one of the top players. IMO he's as good as any guard in NKY (excluding Boldeb) Kid is a gym rat who has worked his tail off since I knew him at knee high. Been awhile since the Cru has had someone like him.

Clyde: Curious who from St H is now on CCH squad?

CVH led Covcath with 24

Theobald 17 pts, 4 rbs

Flood 14 pts

Schuh 10 pts, 6 rbs

Goetz led St Henry with 23 pts

Covcath was 11-13 from the field in the 3rd qtr....not going to lose too many games when you are that efficient. CVH had 10 in that qtr.

Goetz was really good for the Cru tonight. He will be tough to stop next year as a senior.

Flood's development from December to March has been fun to watch. He was just a spot up shooter. Now he is aggressive on both ends of the floor AND can hit the 3. Nice 4th option for the Colonels.

As much as his offense has improved, I think it's his defense that he doesn't get enough credit for. Really nice player. You can definitely tell why there was some hype surrounding him his freshman year.

My man, BlacknGold, became a huge Andy Flood fan when they played Boyle in December.

It seemed like St. Henry allowed CCH to take Goetz out of the game. They were denying him in the 2nd quarter, and they still got him the ball. In the 2nd half, it didn't seem like they really tried to get him the ball. I left very impressed with the kid. Great body control in the paint.

St. Henry's defense in the 2nd half was bad. They didn't move their feet very well leading to a lot of easy baskets for CCH. They allowed CVH to run off a pick on his strong side for uncontested jumpers multiple times.

Pictures from the game:

I did witness CVH clapping his hands and laughing within 2" of Goetz's face. I give Goetz major credit by ignoring him and not retaliating like I would have done. Of course I played in the 80's and a player would only get one chance to slap his hands 2" from my face even if it meant being thrown out of the game. Times have changed and I'm a hillbilly! Adam Goetz has way more class and maturity than myself.

Great game Adam! You're the real deal!

The officiating was very poor again. Both teams had warnings given to there benches, but it didn't seem to matter to CCH coaches, they were still up off the bench in the 1st half. Not sure what was said to the officials at half or by who, but the Cru could not get a call the entire 2nd half. CCH played the entire second half with 5 fouls,,,,,go figure. Don't understand why the sportsmanship reading is given at the beginning of the game if the are not going to enforce it. Several times plays made by CCH players resulted in hands clapping in the defenders face after basket, just saying why bother. ust hope that which ever team is the 9th Region Representative that they show class and dignity at Rupp.

This is not the first time that CCH has been called out for "tactics/behavior/sportsmanship", probably won't be the last.

With the talent this team has, it should be this that we are talking about, because of how they choose to play at times... it is not always the case.

I believe Chris is their father.

Oops! Steve is their Dad. My bad.
