Head coaching jobs

Featured Replies

Moore is a very young asst. coach; I think she graduated from Holy Cross in 2008. Holy Cross hired a Volleyball coach without much expense and very young a few years back, the program has taken a step back. I do not like this hire for this girls program she maybe a great asst., it takes a ton more to run a program of that magnitude. This is a top five job in the region historically. If the rumor is true that she is the hire.

To go from a VERY experienced coach with a record of averaging 20 wins per season to an inexperienced coach would be a stretch. If they do go that route, I hope she wins. That could put her in a VERY bad spot. I just think experience is a better way to go for a team that is fairly "established." People at HC are used to winning and will expect that with the new coach.

I'm not familiar with Jerry Tubb or Olivia Moore. I've heard of Schnell but I can't speak to his coaching. Perry White coached my daughter a few years ago and she loves him. He was great with the girls and my daughters team always played hard for him. I think CAL made a good hire. JMO

Jerry Tubb is a very good teacher of the fundamentals as well as a good x and o Coach. He has vast amounts of experience coaching basketball.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he is considering the HC position and is planning on staying on with Sacred Heart. Sacred Heart has tons of young talent in the program and he knows it will be fun to coach there over the next three years.

South Laurel is now open.

Weird that I heard that yesterday at work. I have some good friends from there and they said it was between 3 people.

Some guy from Bath Co, Stacy Reed or Jeff Shepherds wife, and Bernadette Locke Maddux.

If your information is legit, then the "some guy from Bath County" as you referred to him would have to be Troy Lee Thomas and if that's the case then South Laurel would be crazy not to hire him. Good X and O guy and no one is going to outwork him when it comes to putting in time with his players

so who got the holy cross job.....i have been away for a day or two? Surely they have hired by now?

Word I get is that Montgomery Co. will be open. I'm hearing Janie Robinson resigned this morning.

She has resigned.

She has resigned.

Reasoning? I saw that. Very much enjoyed watching her teams.

I drove through Bath County today and I was shaking my head from border to border.

No reason, just retiring.

Hearing that Collins job is now open.

I know Coach Conder and he has stepped down to go into administration.

I had heard that. Good luck to Philip, he's one of my favorites.

RYLE LADY RAIDERS needs a new head coach as well. News broke TODAY.

You got that right!

Holy Cross has hired Craig Jefferson, I have been told.. He was an assistant at Louisville Butler. If its true I am glad for Craig! Paid his dues and will do an outstanding job.
