Head coaching jobs

Have not heard anything on Boone.....but that would be a tough gig.....following Fookes???

This is often stated when a respected and tenured coach leaves but I have never understood why?

I think it is tough to follow a legendary person because you will not be judged based on your own accomplishments, but judged by comparison to theirs. I heard John Calipari say one time that he wanted the UK job when Gillespie was hired but looking back he is glad he didn't get it then. He did not want to follow Tubby, because basketball people know how great a job Tubby Smith did.

Who would want to follow coach Fookes? What if your style is different then hers? What if the talent is not what it once was and Heaven forbid you are only at 500 team?

Heard Troy Lee Thomas was steeping down @ Bath Co.

It almost seems that Boone should look outside NKY so that coach doesn't feel or care about the pressure that they are walking into. It is funny how even high school coaching comes with a lot of pressure.

Heard that Boone will make an announcement next week.

Perry White has been named new head coach at CAL. Good or bad hire?

I thought his name was Barry White all along.......so someone that knows who this is chime in. Has big shoes to fill---with outgoing coach being the 7th region coach of year???

Anyone hearing anything on Louisville Holy Cross?

Only word from wide wide Dixie highwayers is that there was ALOT of interest in the position. I hear that several assistants from around the city are putting their names in.

I heard some names.....but my question is WHO???? Tubb? Don't remember first name, Olivia Moore-think she was an assistant at HC?, Tony Shell---never heard of him.

I've heard may only be one with varsity head coaching experience - but that may not matter - Tubb is current asst at SHA and Moore is their current asst - not sure of others.

I'm interested to see who gets the Bath County job.
