Tates Creek has filled their opening with Jan Perkins, former LCA & West Jessamine assistant coach. She is a teacher @ Henry Clay currently. Article doesn't say whether she intends to move to Creek to teach, but I don't see how it will honestly work if she isn't in the building. This is a major reclamation job of a program that really needs a strong leader & someone the team can go to throughout the day as well.....cant do that when you are separated by a few miles teaching @ another school.

Here is some info on CAL and Holy Cross. New CAL coach Perry White has coached with Focus AAU, was an assistant at Fern Creek for 1 year, was supposedly an assistant at CAL although I didn't see him on the bench the few games I saw last year. At Holy Cross, I believe that Current assistant Olivia Moore has the job. Jerry Tubbs is a current Sacred Heart assistant but has ties to the southwest side of town with his AAU program and being a coach at St. Nicholas for years. Tony Schnell is a former Holy Cross and Sacred Heart assistant coach as well as being the former head coach at Whitefield Academy. Don't know what he has been doing the last few years. On another note, everyone will be interested in the job until they realize that it pays little to nothing and assistants get even less.

Word I get is that Montgomery Co. will be open. I'm hearing Janie Robinson resigned this morning.

I'm not familiar with Jerry Tubb or Olivia Moore. I've heard of Schnell but I can't speak to his coaching. Perry White coached my daughter a few years ago and she loves him. He was great with the girls and my daughters team always played hard for him. I think CAL made a good hire. JMO

Moore is a very young asst. coach; I think she graduated from Holy Cross in 2008. Holy Cross hired a Volleyball coach without much expense and very young a few years back, the program has taken a step back. I do not like this hire for this girls program she maybe a great asst., it takes a ton more to run a program of that magnitude. This is a top five job in the region historically. If the rumor is true that she is the hire.

No official announcement from HC as of yet and parents not informed at least as of yesterday, but who knows. If hire made, they are keeping a lid on it/no word from Frakes at CJ, who usually tweets out those changes immediately once official. Clock is ticking for summer games - not in their best interest to have not yet made or announced decision. Perry at CAL should do a great job - great guy - knows players from already being there.
