March 4, 201511 yr Author ........................................................................................ Darn ... I got excited when I saw you had posted in this thread. But, not surprised by your post. I don't want to sidetrack the thread, but don't you think that says something about you?

I don't want to sidetrack the thread, but don't you think that says something about you? Haha it was a joke. There are plenty of things I agree with Democrats on such as the war on drugs , civil liberties , who marries who doesn't matter to me. I just thought my first post was funny.

March 4, 201511 yr While I have no way of knowing how accurate this is, I genuinely feel most Democrats, specifically guys like Biden, Obama, and Bill Clinton, would be an absolute blast to hang out with. They seem like "cool" guys. I don't feel the same way about most Republicans (outside of GWB). Booo
March 4, 201511 yr Booo Guilty as charged, there have been few cool republican's to make the national stage. That's something that will have to change for them to be successful.
March 4, 201511 yr I think it would be fun to hang out with Presidents Obama and Clinton and I don't think there are many people better than President Carter. Good man, not so good President.
March 4, 201511 yr Guilty as charged, there have been few cool republican's to make the national stage. That's something that will have to change for them to be successful. I agree. I believe Democrats, as a whole, come off as more in touch with the regular people. Christie, for the Republicans, though, gives me the same feeling...he could be in a room with a bunch of us and not make us feel like we're all beneath him, like he has to think for us. MAYBE Paul. Not decided yet.

Not decided yet. I disagree. I have met many Republican politicians and have never felt they were less in touch with "regular people". So now folks who side with Republicans are not regular people? I'm regular. Hell I'm as regular as they come. I align myself with the person who I think best defines where I and they think the city/state/country should be headed whether Democrat or Republican. Folks who vote Republican are just as "regular" as the folks who vote Democratic.

March 4, 201511 yr Clinton would be awesome to party with. He knows he's full of it and he knows we know he's full of it. There is not a better example of what all politicians are...dem or repub. I see him akin to Bluto in Animal House who is shown to go on to be a US Senator in the closing. I'll close with a quote that applies to both parties: "A thief is more moral than a politician; when a thief steals your money, he doesn't demand you thank him." -- Walter Williams
March 4, 201511 yr Good man, not so good President. That's my take, although you're being kinder than I would on his presidential performance. I think Ford was the same way.
March 4, 201511 yr Let me say this about Dem's as a whole. I am glad they are there (some of them) as a checks and balances against the Rep. As a Republican/Conservative myself, there are some things that could go further "right" than they need to be/should that even I wouldn't agree with if the Dem's weren't there.
March 4, 201511 yr I like a lot of the things Joe Lieberman has to say...oh wait...is he an independent now??? How about this then - my brother in law is a registered democrat and a great guy. He doesn't trust any politicians though...for good reason. I honestly cannot say anything good about Pelosi, Reid or Obama. I wish I could but I cannot.
