Hillary will not get the votes Obama got. She's now the old establishment candidate so she won't rally the youth, the black vote, the Hispanics or the non liberal women vote. Obama kicked her butt just like he did Romney.

You might well be right. The GOP is going to get its voters out, as we see in the midterms. However, there could be a drop-off there as well in '16, because a lot of people went to the polls in '12 and '14 simply to vote against Obama -- rather than to vote for the GOP candidate.

All the Hispanic and illegals will vote Clinton, as well as blacks. A lot of middle class whites also.

Sad to say but she will win because no one has a sense of morality and pride in America. She is as ruthless and bloodthirsty at Putin and will kill to get what she wants and to cover her tracks.

I'm not saying the GOP inspires minorities. Obviously they don't. But people banking on the same turnout for Hillary that Obama got are dreaming. The biggest shock to me is why Corey Booker isn't being talked about as a lead candidate. He seems like the smartest choice.

 

I will say Rand Paul has made an honest pitch to the Black community as Jeb Bush has his connections in the Hispanic community. I could see either on the ticket even if they don't get the nomination for that reason.

15 years ago politics were just as bad. It seems worse because it's easier to interact with those people who hold opposing viewpoints.

What about workers' rights? It doesn't take a genius to understand that the Democratic Party is the party of the common working man/woman while the Republican Party is the party that best represents the interests of big business and Wall Street speculators.

 

:poop: The democrats are the party of the AFLCIO. My company is represented by them, and we have a constructive relationship. However, most of our hourly employees would forego paying their monthly dues IF THEY COULD GET OUT OF IT. The federal laws make it extremely difficult, once a company has a union, for the employees to get out of it. And, the best situation for workers is a vibrant economy where there is competition for labor. And IMO, this is not fostered by socialism.

THIS! And this is why the country is where it's at now. It doesn't matter what side of the isle you sit, you have to keep an open mind and willing to work together, and not hold grudges. It's not like back in the Tip O'Neil days when he said they would fight it out on the floor, bit later that night they would go out to dinner or drinks and work things out. When was the last time the leaders on the House and or Senate from both sides got together for dinner or drinks to discuss their differences?
