It's sad, a thread asking to say something good ends up like this. The usual suspects, then still some others take the bait. This is why politics are not the same as they were just about 15 years ago, and this is why it will never change as it always has to be a us vs them attitude. And it's why even a thread with very good intentions doesn't even stand a chance on this site.

 

Ref, I can't seriously believe that you think Hllary is as bad as Putin, as you put it. I may not agree or like a republican but I'd never compare them to a person like him, one who is such a threat to the world peace.

Putin who took over Crimea, Invaded Ukraine, and over 12 reporters have ended up dead, as well as anyone who opposes him. If we don't take care of Putin very soon, the problem will get worse, some thing that giving him Crimea and Ukraine as a sacrifice will stop him, it won't, did it stop Hitler when he was allowed to take a country or two? We will have to confront him sooner or later, and if it's later it's going to be a lot more messy. For anyone who even thinks that you can compare the two are simply going overboard in taking political sides, and is another reason why things are so bad. I may not agree, or like some politicians, but it's ridiculous to compare them with someone like Putin, Hitler, Stalin ect.....

Nah dude, you got me all wrong….I think that all career politicians are criminal in their own special way….I agree with you on Putin, we just don't see the same shine on Hillary. I think there is sufficient "quack" to call out the Clinton duck….it's probably only ridiculous to compare them if you are looking at the end result….every dictator has to start somewhere

However, most of our hourly employees would forego paying their monthly dues IF THEY COULD GET OUT OF IT. The federal laws make it extremely difficult, once a company has a union, for the employees to get out of it.

 

Forgive my ignorance but how do employees get rid of their union? I just assumed it took a majority vote. I used to work for Insight Communications and back when they were Storer Cable, the employees did get rid of the union. The way Storer -> TKR -> Intermedia -> Insignt -> now Time Warner baby their employees, I don't see why they needed a union in the first place.

I am not saying the Clintons have definitely had anyone killed. I am also not saying that they have not. I AM saying that I don't want any part of ever being in their inner circle - seems dangerous. They were involved with 59 people who died in 12 different plane crashes - 12 PLANE CRASHES! They knew 13 people who have been murdered (who knows 13 people who have been murdered!). They knew 10 people who appeared to commit suicide (who else knows 10 people who have committed suicide!). They knew 3 more that had "accidents". Who else knows so many people who have had untimely deaths? I am sure some of the numbers of dead people have been inflated by Clinton haters but look at those numbers. Do you really think ALL of them are just the part of the vast right wing conspiracy??

To the OP: I think a lot of Democrats have beliefs founded in compassion for their fellow man (and I do not mean the Democrats whom use issues like race to further line their pockets or to get re-elected). The Democrats I'm referring to support welfare programs, higher taxes on the rich, a higher minimum wage, etc because they want to help the less fortunate and the needy and believe that such policies will indeed help the less fortunate and the needy. Which, while I disagree with a lot of their policies, I find their compassion to be laudable.
