Mustang Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I have it on good authority that the Alexandria LaRosa's, prominently located adjacent to the Campbell County Middle School, is uprooting and moving north to Cold Spring. Rather surprising since this is such an established location, which seems to do a thriving business. Problems with the building itself and some of the sewage infrastructure seems to be at the root of the cause for the move. I haven't heard much more about the projected McDonalds coming to the former Burger King site, opposite the DAV. I'll have to check my source on that one.
afi100guy Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 On most nights, it looks like Pepperoncini's is much more crowded than LaRosa's. I wonder if that is also part of the motivation.
Randy Parker Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Pepperoncini's My wife pointed that place out to me the other night after the District game. Is it any good?
UKMustangFan Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 My wife pointed that place out to me the other night after the District game. Is it any good? Very average IMO. The sauce is different. Not my cup of tea.
MJAlltheWay24 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 When I order LaRosa's, usually where I get it from most often, I'm not sure which location it came from, I'm assuming Alexandria. Where is it going in Cold Spring? Any idea if there is anything going in where Raniero's used to be? And before that Blockbuster.

I would expect a new building somewhere. There's plenty of land around. I would assume it would be somewhere by the new Kroger/HomeDepot/Staples development.
afi100guy Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 My wife pointed that place out to me the other night after the District game. Is it any good? Food is good but the service has not been great the times we have been there.
jahearme Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 My wife pointed that place out to me the other night after the District game. Is it any good? Not anywhere near as good as LaRosa's.
75center Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 My wife pointed that place out to me the other night after the District game. Is it any good? We like their sampler pizza, haven't tried anything else. I prefer others.
se7ens Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 LaRosa's trumps Pepperocini's on everything except their sampler pizza, the bar, and the fact they aren't a chain. You can actually make a personal connection at Pepperocini's (guest bartenders raise money for great causes) even though LaRosa's has the superior product.
Omega Man Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Never cared for LaRosa's pizza. Too sweet. The one out in Alexandria was a dump.
Randy Parker Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Never cared for LaRosa's pizza. Same here. But I do like their hoagies & calzones.
Omega Man Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Same here. But I do like their hoagies & calzones. Exactly what I order if I'm made to go to a LaRosa's.
All In Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Never cared for LaRosa's pizza. Too sweet. The one out in Alexandria was a dump. This is long overdue, went in their one time and the smell of sewage would knock you down. Only went there because Reds had 10 or 12 strikeouts(whatever it is) and got free pizza. Guess free LaRosa's trumps the scent of raw sewage.
kyyank Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 even though LaRosa's has the superior product. A sad commentary on the pizza market in the jewel of Campbell County.
