Bottom line. We will have holes to fill. We graduated 20+ players. But we said the same thing the year before, when we graduated 20+ that year also. Our classes have been very good. It's next man up philosophy. with 90+ players we have the luxury of having that " next man up" I have no problems putting Mayfield ahead of us. We need to keep that chip on our shoulder. I would rather be # 2 all year long, until after that last game of the season.

I think, and this is only my opinion, that you can throw, DeSales, Mayfield, NCC, CAL, Murray, into the state title talk, the rest I just don't see it. I can't imagine how bad DeSales would have beaten Shelby Valley last year, and they finished runner up in the East. NCC is king on that side, until someone can prove they can knock them off. The west is loaded again. It's a crap shoot on that side.

I like Lloyd being in the top 10.

They lost a good QB but either Creech or Runion will play QB they return some huge linemen, some awesome running backs and receivers. They usually run the power I. I believe the Jugs put 6'4 305 pound Eric Brunner and 6'4 215 Charles Gaines at fullback.

CAL and Desales were extremely close last year, anyone know what they return?

I can dig Mayfield #1 , but you better watch out for Murray High. This might be the year. They had DeSales on the ropes last year and I wouldn't be surprised if they win the district next year.

 

Mayfield is a deserving #1 in my book.

Murray will be good....I always like Mayfield's chances against Murray.

Somerset returns quite a bit from a very young team. The addition on the Doan kid back only helps there offense and with a QB like Castle Hatcher the Bunnies will not go winless this season.

Shelby Valley returns everyone just about it but they just didn't match up with NCC. They may this year but I said all year last year it was Prestonsburg to play NCC and I was wrong cause Shelby Valley upset them.

Prestonsburg returns some excellent talent as well especially there big bruiser runningback Frasure. They return a good receiving corp as well and some good defensive players.

Agree with most here except about the crap shoot in the west....I call it more like pretenders and contenders...There are two teams from the west.

That would ve nice to see. Coach Eric Turner has done an excellent job in his two years at Lloyd Memorial. However, the Juggs' success in 2015 will depend greatly upon the development and production of the qb who fills the shoes of the graduated Molitor and the improvement of a much maligned pass defense. Lloyd did manage to improve their non-district scheduled which was desperately needed.

The sophmore class had the highest number of players on the team and many of these young men are starters, especially at the skill positions. None of this matters of course until Lloyd can finally beat New Cath, which is difficult for many teams.

Oh yeah, CAL beat DeSales 17-0 then lost to them 7-6 in a game that could have gone either way (CAL had many chances).

So last years results will be the same for this year. Sorry but that won't happen. Now if we was basing CAL playing NCC last year then I'd say it be about the same score as final score from the Desales game. 2A will fun to watch out in 2015 and its possible that Desales or CAL wont make it to state.
