February 27, 201511 yr Spock has died. He was 83 years old. "Live long and prosper." Beat me to it. Star Trek in general and Spock and his neck pinch in particular was a huge factor in my lifelong love of science fiction. My parents let me stay up past bed time to watch despite only having 1 TV and not really liking the show themselves. He has now beamed up to join Bones and Scotty in the ultimate final frontier.
