True...Male might be a legit option. They haven't had great teams lately but good. Maybe.

A Louisville school has played in the final game 19 of the last 30 state championship games.

Wouldn't that make it harder to win a state title?

Again, this thread needs to be kept to conversation about ACTUAL open jobs, and any conjecturing needs to be kept to a minimum.

Feel free to start a new thread if you want to discuss whether or not a coaching seat will be vacating, what person you think will be filling a coaching spot, or discussion of any other related matters, but this thread is not the place for those topics.

Talk at the state tournament about the Male job Included: Centrals Bibby, Collins Gaither, KW's KC Goodin, Westerns Terrance Moorman, Fern Creeks Schooler, and Willie Feldhaus

I've removed Lee County from the "Open" list for the time being, seeing as I haven't seen anything conclusive as to whether or not Coach Broadwell is out there, and LCSD does not have the position listed on their Employment Opportunities webpage. DCPS has not yet listed any openings on their Job Listings webpage, and I've not seen anything official regarding Coach Hume leaving their either, so that job is currently not anywhere on the list. JCPS has definitely removed the Moore opening from their Coaching Opportunities webpage, but I've not been able to find an announcement on the new coach, so I will leave that listed as "Open" for the time being.

Ballard will be open soon supposedly Renner is going to Male.

Ballard will be open soon supposedly Renner is going to Male.

I'd be shocked by that move.

Where is Haworth from? Wasn't he an assistant coach in college for a while? Maybe Murray?

He is from Mayfield. He walked on at Murray and he was a grad assistant at Murray.

Ballard will be open soon supposedly Renner is going to Male.

Why would anyone make that move? It wouldn't be for more money or more talent, or easier region. I would be shocked if this move were to happen.

I would agree that it doesn't seem like a likely move. But I had heard that Renner could possibly be getting out of Ballard. At the time, I thought that meant he was getting out of coaching. Maybe things are just "stale" for him??? Maybe he is looking for a change of scenery? With the exception of a few, most coaches don't stay at the same job forever. No inside info.....just possibly putting 2 and 2 together on things that have been said. OR this could all be hearsay and Renner stays at Ballard until he is 100?

Ballard will be open soon supposedly Renner is going to Male.

That's been the rumor since Male opened. I'll be interested to see if it happens.

The thing that ties Renner to Male is the Principal who was former Principal at Ballard. No one ever thought the Principal would leave Ballard, but he did for Male. And that guy supported Ballard basketball.

I would say the first question Renner is ask Male is how many non-traditional athletes are you going to allow me to have? They say none he say's see you. If they say as many as you want then he may take it. I still say its Centrals Bibby to turn down.
